I would like to Thank my Divinity Teacher, Miss Musgrave for playing this song in class and the reaction from a class of rough n' tumble East End kids who for a few moments were transported into the beautiful.
Looking 18 yrs back to the begining of his career, I miss the deeper rich vibrancy of the "Classical Josh Groban" voice. His warm rich, deep baritone was what startled us each time he opened his mouth to sing. Unexpected, we held our breath, sat forward in our seats and truly listened. Thats what drew us to the theater concert halls. So young with such a beautiful gift. And David Foster knew nobody was doing classical anymore so the audience was ripe for a beautiful classical voice. And so, Josh Groban's career was born. He has since transitioned into a unremarkable - yes, "unremarkable" in the competitive and a very crowded market line up of pop singers- pop singer/ songwriter tenor. His saving grace is the nostalgic loyalty of those who fell in love with his beautiful voice back then, who are eager to buy each and every new album and attend every tour for that one song, that one classical voiced song he puts out each album cycle to keep us captivated. I should know, I am one of them. He does not disappoint. For all-classical voice JG you have to have the original 2001 "Josh Groban" CD and this PBS Great Performances episode still available in CD as "Josh Groban in Concert " .
Don't know exactly what your circumstance is but it sounds like a loss. If so, I can only suggest that no loss is wasted when we engage it and bring its values into our ongoing experience.......................
The first time heard this song decades ago i fell in love with it. Thank you josh Groban for a wonderful cover of this song. I heard in one of your interviews that you also suffer from depression like Vincent and like me. It's really a hard struggle. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless us always to overcome all the trials in our lives.

This is one of the saddest songs ever written and I know Josh will give all the emotion and depth of a Van Gogh's painting. Yes, it's perfect. It never makes me feel sad as others often say it does. Absolutely fantastic. I have loved this song for about 50 years.... Your cover of this is absolutely a tribute to the original. Great vocals and guitar!!!♥
Beautiful comment thank you
I don't know why but I find him very charming whenever he sings.
💗
I think he's sexy
Gorgeous and moving rendition of a beautiful song.
That’ll bring a tear to a glass eye.
❤️💔
Ironic, Vincent Van Goghs painting are so colorful yet he felt darkness within. He must have been screaming.
@@garthsleight73 me too,the perfect melancholy
He had an inner ear infection, vertigo etc, he wasn't crazy, he was ill. Remember this was pre antibiotics.
I think this is the most wonderful performance I have heard from Mr. Groban. So beautifully felt and communicated despite his beautiful voice.
Wonderful comment❤️
One of my favourite songs covered by one of my favourite singers.
Christine Stromberg mine too, definitely ❤️
Christine Stromberg, “Vicent” é também a minha música preferida....a letra é uma obra prima...a história é - incrivelmente - triste e linda da vida de Vicent Van Gogh! Conheci este ano! Esta interpretação de Josh Groban é impecável!

I dedicate this song to my beloved Grandpop, Andrew Vincent. This is your song Grandpop. I understand and love you forever and always. Till we meet again in Heaven. Love, Denise
Thank you Josh, again!
One million years after I heard you for the first time your voice still makes me profoundly happy and sad and happy again. God bless you.
Beautiful message ❤️
This young man is beyond fantastic, thank you.
Thank you for such nice words
This world was never meant for someone as beautiful as you. Strongest words ever spoken by man.
I agree 10000%....lyrics that reach the heart completely..
I was thinking the same....
I would like to Thank my Divinity Teacher, Miss Musgrave for playing this song in class and the reaction from a class of rough n' tumble East End kids who for a few moments were transported into the beautiful.
Que canción tan maravillosa y esa voz tan espectacular de Josh Groban, madre mía, es como visitar el cielo
Grazias
Magnifique Josh, merci ! Voces8 en donne aussi une interprétation très douce et subtile ! Merci les artistes !!!
❤️
My dear brother....
I could have said that I love you too....
I should have listen more.....
I am sorry..
I miss you,
Alaric...
Don't know exactly what your circumstance is but it sounds like a loss. If so, I can only suggest that no loss is wasted when we engage it and bring its values into our ongoing experience.......................
Outstanding…..
The first time heard this song decades ago i fell in love with it. Thank you josh Groban for a wonderful cover of this song. I heard in one of your interviews that you also suffer from depression like Vincent and like me. It's really a hard struggle. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless us always to overcome all the trials in our lives.
beautiful comment

What an amazing talent! When Josh sings he transports me to another land where everything is beautiful and true and free. There is no other singer who moves me so much.
I feel exactly the same... So many such great talents in this world... 💜🎶
@@Lardenoy merci:)
I was absolutely blown away that Christopher Parkening played on this! He’s a famous classical guitarist and I never expected to hear him play as an accompanist. Beautiful job, Chris and Josh!

Such a touching meaningful song. Josh too WOW!
Thank you so much for your comment 😊
I knew so many young people THAT FELT THIS LEVEL OF DESPAIR IN THEIR OWN LIVES. Such a hauntingly beautiful song.
Katheren Reizel 💜so true
Me too.
This is one of the saddest songs ever written and I know Josh will give all the emotion and depth of a Van Gogh's painting. Yes, it's perfect. It never makes me feel sad as others often say it does. It came onto the top of the charts when I was young, and in a really happy and exciting time during my first adventure overseas. Perhaps that 'feeling' of euphoria prevailed. It still does for me. 7.2020.
Beautiful words , thank you. This song means so much to all of us,and the lyrics of it ,it's magnificent...💗
Well done Josh, every song I listen to reminds me of my father who is in heaven but this one reminds me of my own frailty.
that's such beautiful comment
