We have a screened lanai and new pool. No leaves but a lot of sand from the new pavers.. 20 feet by 12 feet. Recommendations? Might not need a huge bot. Can scrub the waterline by hand once per week. 3 adults use the pool.
Can we put one side one type of filters and to another one the ultrafine filters? Or should we put the same type of filters in both sides? Also no one explained how to put the handle in diagonal. It doesn't say anything in the manual (only make sure is a diagonal position for the best efficiency)and we have three positions, should be maximum diagonal?
The Dolphin Sigma does it all for you! It’ll vacuum, scrub, & clean your entire pool at the touch of the button. It is way more effective than other traditional vacuums and a lot smarter! Let us know if you have any questions and we are happy to help!
I got this robot and like it. My only surprise is the only cleaning mode it appears to have is 'regular'. Do you know if I'm missing something? I would have thought it would have options to just clean floor, walls, etc? Thanks.
Hi Tony, Both are great choices. The biggest difference will be the Dolphin Premier has more media types such as the giant leaf bag and two different cartridge filters, while the Dolphin Sigma will be a little more high tech with the Bluetooth app! Both are a great choice and you can’t go wrong with either! It all comes down to preferences, but I’d go with the Sigma!
Will the sigma be able to pick up as much leaves without having the leaf bag that the premier has? I'm not big into the gadgets so the Bluetooth and wifi capabilities isn't a deal breaker for me. I also wonder with having a 3rd motor, why doesn't the sigma have more suction power? I'm not sure I understand why they designed it with 3 motors?
The Premier will definitely capture more leaves with the leaf bag. If you’re not into the the app, I highly recommend the Premier instead! The biggest thing for having 3 motors is the design of the unit, with 2 separate filter cartridges, the Sigma utilizes 3 motors to have extraordinary suction power. In comparison to a unit with just one motor, it blows it out of the water with its performance.
Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and purchased the Sigma with the caddy from your website. Hopefully it works as good as advertised. I appreciate your help
Yes, the Sigma is able to clean up big leaves and other debris. It can also capture fine sand using its fine filter cartridges that are included with it!
Joshua do you know if it's possible to upgrade a 2018 sigma to the newest version of the smartnav and also what would be the advantage to getting a 2021/2022 model of the sigma over a lightly used 2018? Thanks
We would recommend the newest one, midway through 2021, Maytronics refreshed the Sigma with a new control box that has WiFi capabilities and upgraded features! With a used 2018 model, you won’t get the 3 year warranty as well! We are only of the only Maytronics seller to offer Open Box / Refurbished models with the 3 year warranty, so make sure to check that the company you buy from is a Authorized Dealer! While the unit doesn’t normally break, the warranty is a lifesaver if you ever need it! Unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade to the newest version of SmartNav. Let us know if we can help you with anything else! We are happy to help!
@@Poolbots Thanks. What does the new control box look like, is it the all white one with a button and a windowed display or the black on top white on bottom with one button in the middle? Just to clarify, you are saying only the units with the new control box run smartnav 3.0 and have wifi and the old controllers didn't have wifi?
bought it and it's great, but it does go everywhere on it's own, glad i can control it, but was thinking it could figure out the pool and move side to side cleaning everything. My pool motor moves the water but sucks at cleaning, even with my pool stick, probably the vacuum could do this or better but i am lazy to put it on, which makes you the $1350. It's a fun gadget, it's just crazy i recently bought a new pool pole, that is really good but for what, now that i bought this. I really don't need it but if it makes my mom happy. she bitches about the pool having problems and being dirty, due to wind and fires, what can you do. Pool man cleans the pool in 15 min a week, I cleaned it over 15 min a day, and still sucks. Hope this pays for the investment.

I’m thinking about getting the sigma. What does it come with? Will I needs more accessories? Thanks!
It comes with everything you need! This includes the unit itself, all filters, the power supply, and user manual!
@@Poolbots I tried to buy it from your website but it says it’s out of stock. Do you have any in ?
What good is having a weekly schedule if you have to go out and put it in the water anyway as you advised, do not leave it in the pool🤔
I have a vacuum that picks up leaves for the pool. Does the sigma do an effective job strictly for scrubbing?

I have this same issue. Like the robot, but this schedule control they talk about is BS. it doesnt have that functionality. Kinda pissed about it too.
I'm torn between this and the Dolphin Premier. It's about a $200 difference. How do you feel they compare? Is it worth the extra $$ ?

Buy primer and have feeling you are missing something even better
Go for Sigma
Does the Sigma still pick up big leaves. We need that during the Fall as well as fine sand cleaning

@@Poolbots Thanks. I’ve seen some reports that some robots can get stuck on the pool drain. Any issues with the Sigma doing it?

What model of fine filters does the Sigma take (would like to order more)
When will you receive more stock on this? Looks cool!
Hi there,
We should be receiving more very soon! Meanwhile, the Dolphin Premier is another great choice!
Can you use it in a salt water pool?
Yes, it is rated for fresh and saltwater pools!
Is this better then the m600?
Yes! We definitely prefer the Dolphin Sigma to the Dolphin M600. The Sigma is a great value and most, if not all, of the same features!
@@Poolbots could only find m600 in stock for the last one in my town
The Sigma is an online exclusive and the M600 is retail exclusive!
How does this compare to the Polaris Alpha IQ Plus?
The Dolphin Sigma is Leagues about the Polaris! We cannot recommend the Sigma enough. It is Dolphin's best unit!

It definitely is well worth the investment! Glad you love your Dolphin Sigma!
