- Scramble Formation (スクランブル・フォーメーション, Sukuranburu Fōmēshon) is a vertically scrolling shooter released in by Taito in Japanese arcades in 1986.[2] It was published by Romstar in North America as Tokio.
The insert coin sound effect is also in Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours when you select the Murakumo.
The first time I played this was in
Youth at my church years ago.
Some prissy girl an her friends yeeted
Me off of it.
This game almost set my youth church
on fire until a guy stamped it out.
The machine was busted.
Nobody was hurt by the way.
Taito's games definitely look like a work out.
A weird shmup from Taito. Known as Scramble Formation in Japan.
I don't think it's weird...
At first glance I thought it was going to be a game to encourage Interest in air tours of Japan. But then it has a playable flapping biplane with backup robotics against fighter jets. (The possible inspiration doesn't escape. Including Miyazaki's flapping biplane in Nausicaa.) Maybe that's why it feels odd.
same boss and it seems to fall very fast...
