Hi Andy, Love your videos!! My personal experience with TE is the Exotics line. I have played the 723 driver and also an Exotics 3 wood. The 3 wood is several years old now but it hits so well that I refuse to move it out of the bag. Also, this summer I purchased a 52 degree WINGMAN wedge from TE. I love all of the TE clubs I have purchased. One other thing...the customer service from Tour Edge is absolutely top notch. Thanks for all of your reviews! JR from Minnesota USA.
One thing that is not mentioned often is that the c725 is still north of 9k moi which is great by any standard and the price point is really great .. i ordered the C and cant wait to try it with the denali blue
Andy, great review! I play a Tour Edge E722 driver with a Fujikura Air Speeder 40 R-flex shaft. I have to say this driver is very forgiving, has improved my dispersion and I've gained a few yards with it. This model is over 2 1/2 years old and I'm impressed. I can only image that the E725 would perform better than my E722.
A good friend of mine replaced almost his entire bag with Tour Edge this summer. He has been really smashing his driver, and he hasn't played that much golf since he was still working. He retired this month, and I think he will continue to improve next season.
Excellent video. I only wish more companies take a note from them! I work hard for the money I earn. I golf every week. I don’t want a pay check to go to a driver. We all want to play and have fun. Well done Tour Edge!
@@TheAverageGolfer I’m a big Sub70 fan. I have the black 659 cavity back irons and love them. Even dropped down to playing 7 clubs total. Love it. Like everyone just want things more affordable and the price and quality of this driver is legit.
Hey Andy, I'm a big fan of Tour Edge here in the US. I'm in the process of converting half of my bag over to TE. They make quality equipment for a fair price.
The problem is pal, where can you go to try one out? Nearly all retail shops/fitters ive been, dont stock them. Would like to give them a go at that price! But.... i do really love my Qi10 this year
@jaybyrne4562 with any Tour Edge purchase you get 30 days to try your purchase. If it’s not what you’re looking for you contact Customer Service and they’ll send you a shipping label to send it back and give you a full refund. With that type of service, I think having 30 days to try on the course is way better than hitting one for 30 minutes on a simulator. Incidentally, clubs that are returned get inspected, components replaced if needed and sold as “pre-certified” at a significant discount with the same 30 day trial and lifetime guarantee. Good stuff!
Yes ,they are pretty established in the US. I'll start off with one thing I'm sure of from this company, the customer service department is outstanding, I've gamed a few clubs from Tours Edge, but I believe they were very well known for their fairway woods back a few years, and of course much cheaper than the big names ,only in price not quality. Thank you for the content.
Glad to see even though you are being supported by PXG, you are giving fair looks at other manufacturers. I very you a few tour edge products for about 20 years, and they preform well at a fair price. Like the channel.
Hello Andy , again an amazing golf course you have chosen. Todays golf clubs seem to be all good. At the end of the day it comes down to the players skills and the budget available. Money doesn’t buy performance if you can’t hit the club well. This driver seems to be a very cost effective version. Enjoy your day. 😊😊😊
I did play the maybe 2nd generaty Tour Edge exotic driver, it was great, I broke it though. But good news is I have the Tour Edge Exotic EXS 5 wood 18 degrees, same generation. Talk about a solid weapon it's my go to on shots 205 to 210 . I ditched my Taylor Made 3 wood and go exclusively with the 5 wood. I may have to go and give new driver a test drive. I'm totally comfortable referencing Tour Edge to anyone. Great products without astronomical costs.
Never tried tour edge, but i think that they're going through a but of an evolution right now. Hoping to see them push themselves out of the fray and hopefully they don't raise their prices to that of Titleist/TaylorMade/Callaway
I have an older (5 years) Tour Edge driver and 16.5 degree 3 (4) wood. Both are good clubs. The only downside is the shaft selection. Thier standard "senior" shaft is OK. I had a driver fitting at Club Champion and we kept the Tour Edge head but I bought a new shaft. Great value products certainly.
Andy, I would really like to see a comparison between the modern 10k drivers and one from, say, 5 years ago to see if it is worth upgrading. I have a Cobra F9 Speedbsck, but is it time to buy a new 10k club? Has performance increased that much in 5 years?
Another great video Andy. A great looking club and some really good ball flights. Great drive on No. 16 by the way. It takes bottle to take driver off that tee with trouble both left and right.
Great video. cardrona is a great course. There's so much reasonably priced equipment around now for golfers. wish they're had been this choice when I first started.
I use a TE Exotics 722 3 wood and 5 wood. Both are excellent clubs, and I'd highly recommend them. Exceptionally good value. I'd be keen to try the new driver. BUT it's impossible to demo TE clubs in the UK. They are not carried by Pro Shops and, at least until recently, could only be purchased through American Golf or possibly direct from Tour Edge in the USA. That is a key reason why we don't see them in many bags in the UK. This is a pity, as they are excellent clubs
For everyone that is wondering where to purchase the Tour Edge E725, I have spoken with Tour Edge in the USA and they have informed me that they will be in stock soon at American Golf in the UK. The 1st November was a pre sale launch in the USA and they are being shipped to the UK in the coming weeks.
Been playing tour edge for yrs on and off , never had a bad club to be honest , another bargain on a budget is the c524 driver and fairways ( yet to see a British review of it ) available from American golf at less than £200 for driver I think at moment , they’ve used a lot of tech from the exotics line into the budget line . The longest 3 wood I ever hit was the exs 220 which c as n be had for peanuts on the used market .
I second all the comments that Tour Edge makes excellent clubs at a reasonable price. I have a TE Exotics 722C with the Fujikura Ventus red shaft in R flex. That is the OEM version TE came with, not the higher priced Velocore version, but a good shaft. It says “T4” down near the tip. I reversed the front and back weights, heavier one back, to get a bit more spin and launch. The 723 models were a mistake, with overly busy bottoms that looked ugly. The new 725 models were totally redesigned on the bottom and are now sleek and functional. They have also improved the sound. TE keeps costs down by avoiding the massive and hugely expensive marketing campaigns of the better known premium brands. Not by skimping on quality. They have Bernard Langer and several other winning pros on staff. You find them more on the senior tour. Personally I would recommend that anyone getting a fitting should include a Tour Edge Exotics in it (and also a Wilson). Any large golf store should have both. Then you can make up your own mind.
Nice looking club. IMO, most companies out there make good clubs, including drivers. When I go test them, I don't see much difference in performance. For me, it comes down to feel and look at address. Saving some money is nice as well considering the cost of the new gear. In fact, I love getting new drivers from previous seasons. Same performance, less cash 🙂
am thinking of getting the E725 Driver at 44.5 inches and the Eleven Hybrid irons 3-PW and Eleven's wedges 50 / 55 your thoughts ? i am 59 years old and want to make golf as easy as possible cheers from Canada
Tour Edge has a lot of players on the US Champions (Seniors) Tour, including Bernhard Langer. I have a C721 3 hybrid which won Mygolfspy's best hybrid a few years ago. Resale value isn't great though.
Agreed. You’ve turned my head Andy, but cannot see it in the U.K. as of yet. I see they have a 30 satisfaction guarantee which is good, but I’m not sure if this is extended to overseas customers.
Gosh, for a minute or two, I thought you were in Spain. So much for the Scottish stereotype! Driver wise, I don't think I'd have any trouble choosing TE retail over a $200+ more retail Bigger Name. But if a US $250-300 version of a 2-year old model of a big dog brand were available, that would be hard to turn down. For example, in the U.S., there are still some $300 Sim 2 drivers around. Same with the Mizuno ST-230s line and Cobra's previous line. I'd love to see you try out the Model 11 driver as well.
This is the second review of the e725 driver. Both great reviews but I cannot for life of me find anywhere to buy one. Unless I want to buy one from the USA with added tax and shipping, which pushed the price up to £500 I contacted Tour Edge UK and they told me American Golf have exclusive selling rights now. I asked my local American Golf and they have no idea... Anyone?
Another really good video Andy and I hear what you what you say about Tour Edge productions, but where on earth can you get them in the UK. I’m sure you can purchase them somewhere but it’s very sparse.
I;ve been playing the same Tour Edge Exotics CB1 3 wood since around 2010. I reached the point where my bat speed went down and had to use a lighter/softer shaft. I tried a number of 3 woods from diff companies and ended up buying the same CB1 with a softer shaft. It's bonded hosel. and recently found a 5 wood to match on eBay. Exotics doesnt buy players to use their gear and back then lots of pros were swinging Exotics fairway woods and the rest of their bag was Titleist or whatever. . I also have an Exotics hybrid which is also great. I;ve tried Exotics drivers in the past but they just werent very good....until now I guess. They are headquartered in the States in Chicago I think and dont make huge quantities of clubs per day or have a huge staff so they can keep their costs down and dont carry huge inventories and can develop new products more easily than the big guys. How's that for more info you might wish to process? whirrrrr.....whirrrrrrr Since you play a baby fade have you tried setting the weight to a draw bias? That seems to work to a small degree on some clubs and not at all on others
Always have loved Tour Edge. The brand that Cobra was 8 years ago, quality equipment at a massive discount. It is much more popular here in the US then it seems to be in the UK.
I have tried their drivers in the past, but the feel has been quite harsh. I would love to try again; however, they don't seem to have lighter stiff shafts (in the 50s), so until they offer those, it can't be a consideration (sad face)...
When I used to visit Florida to play golf with my US friends Ed (RIP) and Randy they both played Tour Edge Drivers and Fairway Woods and they wouldn't use anything else. As I remember they sounded a touch "tinny" in those days but I'm sure they have the sound dialled in by now. PS I hope that everyone has a great time at Cardrona, it's a magical place (my eldest Son lives a few miles away and spends most of his time mountain Biking in the surrounding hills)
