The Swedes went into battle with the war cry "Gott mit uns" (God with us). After seven hours of battle, the Swedish-Saxon army was victorious. Foe me the funniest interaction in the greta war was when, during the Christmas truce, a German soldier held up a sign saying 'gorr mitt uns' and the allies held one back saying 'we've gor mittens too'😂

I love learning about history, and Sabaton helps satisfy my desire for both history and kickass music. Sabaton writing songs about some of the less-known historical figures (at least from my perspective), and thus their contribution to the present makes it even better.
You guys never fail to impress, as someone who absolutely loves history I’ve actually learned new events from you guys so keep it up! and Gott Mit Uns!

I know you guys may not see this, but I think you guys should do a song on Ben L. Salomon. He was a dentist/army surgeon that served in the pacific, one day his encampment got overrun by Japanese forces, and he killed 4 of the Japanese that tried to enter his tent, and got on a machine gun killing more to get the wounded away. The island was captured by the Japanese but when american forces recaptured the island, they found him slumped over his machine gun, with 50 or so dead japanese in front of him, and it wasn't until recently he was given his medal posthumourously, because it was argued that since he was a field doctor, he was not obligated to fight and could not be awarded metals for partaking in offenses. I just think it would be a good song idea.
Thanks to years of lyric videos on this one song i learned this song by heart and it paid off when they played in my city and they played this song in Swedish and there i was in the front row (standing venues are a blessing in that way) just belting out the words and having the time of my life thank you sabaton for an amazing show and im already looking forward to when you guys go on tour and come to or near my city again

Thank you for teach me so much of the history of human race
I am not Swedish I am from Slovakia, yet I know the whole lyrics to this song, this was actually my first sabaton song ever and probablly the best song overall in my personal opinion, see you in Gothenburg guys, I will be singing along :D
Used to summer in Brathult. Absolutely beautiful forestry, hell even ran into a few moose while I was there. This song makes me want to go back and see the friends I haven't seen in years. Thank you sabaton, you definitely pull the heart strings ❤️
My favorite Sabaton moment was at a concert and they asked the crowd if they wanted the next song in english or swedish and of course we all said swedish and we all sang in swedish.
Well thank-you sabaton you along with the German folk metal band dArtagnen have inspired me to learn the language of my father's country and my country of birth, as German German can be considered a gateway language to the Scandinavian languages and Dutch, I will see about knowing five or six languages. I mean all of this genuinely, no sarcasm whatsoever intended. 😊
It's was an awesome consert. I love their playfulness on stage and musically they're really good. I would say Sabaton is one of the best live bands nowadays

It's not Sabaton if it doesn't make you patriotic for mass murder
I don't know if you do the same. When I running or bicycling I always sing Gott Mitt Uns. It is a perfect song to motivate while running.
I have an old German Wehrmacht belt buckle from WW2 with Gott Mit Uns on it.
I live temporarily in Karditsa, a Greek city who has many bicycles. I know EXACTLY what you mean!

There’s something about hearing an amazing song in the band’s native language that is exponentially better than listening to it in English
I think Is the fact that you can sing the english version over this and is very similar
Scariest thing is if you know the English lyrics the Swedish not only sounds perfectly but... its just amazing
Sprry its so close sounding
