    Having watched multiple different videos on IV cannulation and listened to multiple lectures, I can say with confidence that your videos on IV cannulation are the most comprehensive and meticulous! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom! It's extremely helpful and useful! 🙏

    I’m a chemo/infusion nurse and you’re videos have helped me improve my skills so much, would love to see more live demos of difficult “sticks”

    I am a new nurse and was struggling so bad with IVS and blood draws, found your videos and got my first successful IV start in a difficult stick who was scheduled for a picc insertion.

    Thanks a lott.. I'm an intern having difficulty in iv cannulation. Have watched some videos of yours, after which I've gained lots of confidence and now I'm able to do iv cannulation with ease. Thank u sir.

    It is a great skill to acquire. I did lots of IV cannulation over 7 years of practice as a Nurse. My last cannulation procedure was 4.5 years ago but I can still perform it confidently.

    I'm an EM resident and I can often get a USIV in even the most challenging veins, but I don't get much practice with normal PIVs. I'm encouraged to improve this skill. Thanks!

    I love these vids, they’re so helpful. Can you do a quick one on crisis cannulation??

      @ABCsofAnaesthesia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for the comment! By crisis cannulation do you mean cannulation in a crisis? Ie needs to be done quickly, under pressure with a large cannula?
      Or was there another aspect you were interested in me covering? :) thank you!

    Hello! Love your videos! Would it be possible to make some paediatric cannulation videos, specifically infants and neonates? In work in the ED as a nurse and many staff shy away from these sticks and ask the paeds nurses to stick which delays care. Many thanks from Canada! 🎈

      Great suggestion! I just have trouble with the consent process with children.. but i'll definitely look for an opportunity... to be honest, the only different in my technique is management of the child.. my insertion technique is identical..

    Your videos are fantastic. I really appreciate how methodical you are in your technique. Is there a better point of entry on the vein once you’ve located it? Can The point of insertion be too high or too low on the length of the vein?

      I havent heard of that, can u send me a link?

      I havent seen any good videos of it on youtube, but what i do is apply gel directly to the US probe, then cover that with a sterile tegaderm, then the chlorhexidine applied to the patients skin provides a medium for the waves to travel, if it dries youd need to apply more, but with enough chlorhexidine, and the gel sealed in the tegaderm, it makes for a much smoother cleanup and you don’t get the gel all over the patient.
