Main reason I want to relearn the violin. So I can play Jewish music and Romani/Gypsy music! I love this so much!! They both put their soul and heart into the music and you can feel it!
Our musical styles are just so beautiful, my harp teacher also taught violin and viole with an emphasis on this style and I gladly sat in for the lessons before and after mine
Roma are a beautiful, unique and diverse people. I dated a Romani in the past and she was one of the most driven, dedicated partners that I've ever had. We're still friends to this day and I wish it would've worked.
Its 29 here in Virginia USA and i will be replaying this video all winter. I do this off and on in the winter season..I love it. Wish they would find her and have her there again for more wonderful playing. Built a stove fire and enjoying this tune..
Is there any chance I can ask some sort of tab or note-by-note? I’d be buried under this song if I could. I’d like to learn a guitar cover, with your approval.
If you saw an ad before this video, who will collect the revenue? The violinist? The guy holding the camera? Or will Googlebet keep it all? (THAT'S SHOW BIZ!)
Sometimes the sync gets mixed up in a video. She was really playing the violin. So one on here can actually find her name. Im sure the people who filmed this knew her name.
You could write it, with a little bit of earwork, it's not that hard :) edit : that's if you have some notions of musical notations and such, though..! edit² : Use Musescore or an equivalent to hear the notes you're writing down, it'll be much easier ;)
Just as a frame of reference search "szaszcsavas band" in youtube, They are a Hungarian Gypsy band from Transylvania and their lead violinist (primás) is also nicknamed God (hungarian version of the romanian word DUMNYEZO)...After you listen to a few videos, be reminded that the man you saw playing the violin like a wizard is illiterate. He learned to play the violin from his father and so on going back to the early 1600's. Gypsy music is arguably the hardest thing you can do with a violin. In my region there are Romanian Hungarian and Gypsy folk songs that are played, i will try to search for some literary work that collected some of them and if they have the sheet music to it I will provide a link here for you. Until then I'll link a video of him playing a Romanian "Invartita" with no hair :))) /watch?v=sJI4QPM2GWU
jo jo it's an improvised piece by our friend above so we just call it beautiful gypsy violin. Thanks for watching and taking an interest in our videos!
Hello Delphine, this is an improvised piece ,so it doesn't have a name as such, we just call it beautiful gypsy violin , thanks for watching our films.
Romani fiddle is beautiful. When editing though you really should match bow strokes to music as at least at one point she lifts the bow off the strings and it keeps playing!. Makes the whole thing seem fake, which is hardly of benefit to Romani culture eh?
Hi Andrew she actually played the piece twice outside round the fire and we edited the two films together, you’ll notice it actually transitions from day to night in the film. She was playing for about 15 minutes but we cut it for TH-cam. Thank you for coming back to the film and your support. Leaulife
@@tompitman8672 I was right Someone mentioned that the music played as she stopped but i know about sync... They did not realize that. Where was this at? Said her name was Kate but no last name. I have come back to this video many many times and love it especially in the winter here in Virginia USA
I'd like to be sitting there by the fire listening to this Live! I could listen to this Lady play all night!

Same here. Have you found any books or online tutorials that has helped him. I’m struggling to find any.
I keep coming back to this video. By the way, I am also Roma.
in that case....give me back my money!!!!!
Me too I have a guitar that I bought in a thrift-antique mall that was made in Romania.
I love the gypsy people...your cultural legacy is immense.

True connection. One of the best i have heard. No trimmings, just beautiful and pure.

This is so beautifull, it gets to the bone ! Thanx for this, greetz from the netherlands 🇳🇱
I watch it in the winter from time to time. The cold outside and wind and the fire on the outside stove is awesome.

Amazing!

Beautiful 💓💓💓💓💓
Beautiful music. I do have a hard time watching as it's not live and the music doesn't match the action but the music is great.
It could be it was overdubbed for sound quality but keep in mind you'll see numerous videos where the sound is out of sink with the visual .
And lovely to see
Very god Dee ✌️👈
Did anyone notice at 0:35 she stops and the music doesn't stop?
With your permission, would it be possible to get the full recording so I can transcribe the whole thing?
(assuming that I even can lol)
The bowing and the sound do not correspond. But I love the music never the less.
Dunja lavrova is better and actually from Russia

Skrzypce maja bardziej szlachetne brzmienie od gitary ;p
Very beautiful music but watching you bored me. No offense but you don’t seem all that into it. You just seem to be going through the motions.
this is arabic not gypsy.
There may be similarities
i feel absolutely no passion listening to this very mediocore violin playing ,it stirs not what i expect
Agreed, but the potential is huge
The reason is because the person in the video isnt actually playing the violin. They're "bowsyncing"
