Honestly The Shade Lord from Hollow Knight would be an awesome final boss for a Doom dlc. Also The Knight and and Doomguy would get along great. One silent god killing machine rediscovering their past to another.

There might be a bit of a misunderstanding over the Knight's pincer-horns, but I'm sure they'd figure it out after a good, hearty death battle or two. Imagine the Slayer with shade powers and charms, or the Knight with berserk mode and glory kills.

imagine you as doomguy faces off the mantis lords but as full on 7ft tall insectoids with armor and cybernized weapons, basically facing off 3 marauders and you don't kill em because you found out they were testing your strength
Nah, not marauders. They don't got the dash-n-slash and play too defensive. Mantis lords in doom would need to be a hell of a lot more frenetic. Less guarding and playing keep away while they wind up and more just 'in your face zippin' around'.
i finished all pantheons with all bindings and one thing is certain (no matter how good you are the time you take to kill the boss is insane it eats up my sanity) i had to take breaks since the entire thing took me 20 hours of gameplay (especially the pantheon of hallownest which easily took 10+ hours) maybe because im scared of taking huge risk

The biggest problem with the DOOM-like songs is how few there are. I adore the DOOM soundtrack because of how unhinged it is, with the aggression and rage. Trying to find songs like it on Spotify is impossible, usually finding the screamo music with uninteresting sound design. But this... This captures that DOOM feeling perfectly. It makes me feel like waging war, like I cannot die! It's PERFECTION in every way!!
