@@BOPBOPBOPBOPBOPBOPOB partially. Changpuek beat or went to a decision with countless good kickboxers who weighed 9kg or more than him in this era, Andy hug a few years before his prime wasn't able to take him out like Peter did, despite weighing more and being more skilled on paper. I wouldn't take any credit away from Peter for outweighing Changpuek because the Thai's would still destroy almost all foreign kickboxers in the lower weight classes for 20 years after this.

Comments are shit! The Thai is scared of getting his ass handed to him a second time. You can see Peter adjust his shorts, the Thai used that moment. I know Muay Thai art etc. but he is holding on for dear life. Also a soon as Peter starts elbowing his head the ref stepped in. That's slightly off. In the first fight Peter was also booed and kicked to his head while on the ground and the referee did nothing. Almost seems like a 'clinching' match while Peter Smit just came there to beat him again. This guy was a champ in full contact Kyokushin, Kickboxing and Muay Thai. You can't tame a Lion. R.I.P. Peter Smit Osu!!

How can anyone be proud of him fighting Changpuek ?
Changpuek is a 70 KG Muay Thai fighter.

Smith has 20 lbs advantage here.
It's like making Jermell Charlo who is 154 lbs fight Dimitry Bivol who is 175 lbs.
And Smith still lost this fight and both made fouls there's no one who is clean here.
Smith also kicked Changpuek's face after the knockdown in round 1 during their first fight.

Changpuek just fought fire with fire.
Smith is 1-1 against a 20 pounds smaller fighter.

Smith lost to Rob Kaman by KO during the rematch.

@@8limbedwarriornakmuay504And? Chiatsongrit accepted the fight and he knew he was smaller. I don't know how this justify this robbery.
I can find you thousand of exemples of fighter at even bigger weight disadventage that manage to prevail over their opponent in MMA (Kazushi Sakuraba beating rampage jackson or Kevin randleman) , in Boxing (Usyk beating Anthony Joshua twice, Rocky Marciano vs almost any of his opponent, Henry Armstrong spending his career beating biger guys, Many Pacquio being champion in X categories), in kick boxing (Andy Hug vs Mike Bernardo/Jerome Le Banner, etc....).
Nobody is denying Chiatsongrit's courage and grit, and nobdy is denying the fact he is a legend. We are just saying there are no way on earth he won that fight.
He got his ass handed to him, and refusing to admit it sounds delusional as hell.
And yes Peter Smit was a dirty fighter. But him managing to punish the lousy clinch entries of Chiatsongrit by using the rope is nothing short of creative and cuning. Chiatsongrit tried to bend the rules of Muay Thai to take out Peter's best weapon (his punching power), and Peter managed to adapt on the fly to answer to this tactic. At the end of the fight Chiatsongrit was saved by the bell, the referee, the suspiciously long breaks between rounds and ultimately the judges. However, the video still exist to preserve the truth.

      @Dreamweaverfan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm very sorry to see that people confuse martial arts with sport. Of course there are rules, Peter Smit came from the kyokushin karate tradition, in the time you learned to endure pain. Peter Smit was certainly a fighter that was quite capable of handling very deadly strikes, which are very logically forbidden in every competition model. And he never ever used them. I still remember the trainings we had and even in training we where "never trust you partner". Above all, these are martial arts not just sport! People fight in these rings, these people are fighters! They are accepting the fact that they can take severe punishment, but, they will deliver when they can. In that respect martial arts are completely different from let's say soccer where it's just very obvious that when you kick an opponent instead of a ball it has nothing to do with soccer. What really disgusted me on TH-cam where video's where a referee didn't stop a fight which lead to the death of an 18 year old boy who did his first Thai boxing match, also, the doctor was busy with his iPhone during the match...
Another video which disgusted me was free fight where a fighter basically lost, was sitting on his knees only fighting not to get knocked out and the opponent kicking on his had for more then a minute until he almost lay lifeless in a pool of blood on the floor. The referee did not intervene, and crowd was shouting and cheering. And it is all justified with these are the rules of competition. ...
In both cases it is completely due to referee and organisations that martial arts become ugly. It is there duty to protect the fighters with rules and stop a fight.
Don't blame fighters for being fighters....
