I hope you all are doing well!
It has come to my attention that my TH-cam is filled with park days. As fun as they are, they are only a minor piece of the Disney College Program. I wanted to give you all a glimpse into a week of my life on the DCP just to show you what it’s actually like.
A common misconception about the DCP is that you can go to the parks all the time and don’t work a lot. This is not true. You have to work; and believe me, it isn’t always magical.

I start in AUGUST! And I am moving across the country and I won’t be able to shop outside 🤣😅
The bus will take you to a super target so you should be good! There’s food at the small target but not much variety

hey!! love your vids :) definitely super informational! i actually plan on applying for the program this august after wanting to do it since middle school! regarding the park reservations, are you able to get into one park and then go to another after a certain time but you’ll have to make another reservation? not sure if it’s exactly like park hopper which starts at 2!
Hey! Thank you for watching!! Definitely would recommend applying to the DCP for the experience! So you can make up to 3 reservations at a time. If you choose to park hop, then you can switch over to your next park after 2. You do not need a reservation for your second park. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the behind the scenes look! Would you say it is standard for most positions to work until 2am or so, or is that a more rare occurrence?
You’re welcome! It is not a standard end time. It’s because the Emporium is open an hour after park close, and then we stay 2 hours afterwards to stock. My other roommates latest shifts are 11:30. It honestly depends on your location.

There is another Publix not too far from the housing complex, if you go down Western Way, and make a left onto Avalon, and then you make a right on to 1-92, there is not a toll.

Try to use Gasbuddy to compare gas prices. I did CP in 97. 🤪. Do they still let you volunteer at Give Kids the World?
Haha that’s the app I use! Unfortunately gas prices are ridiculous. We don’t have that volunteer option but they give us others!
Could you explain the park reservation thing? I only know a little bit about the program from watching different TH-cam videos, but I thought if you were in the DCP you got admission to the parks at any time. :)
Yes of course! Yes we get free admission to the parks BUT, you have to make a reservation to get in. There are also things called block out dates (there’s a block out date calendar online) that lay out when you are allowed to go to the parks. So, say if you want to go to Epcot on Friday, you have a free ticket, you just have to make a reservation. If cast members are blocked out of Epcot on that Friday, then you can’t make a reservation. If it is open, then you can, if reservations are not already filled up. I hope this helps!!
