Sir I need a small clarifications, you have advised us to buy IDFC to get the advantage of 5% margin benifit, having holding tatamotors dvr 20 shares I am suppose to get 14 shares, where as I got only 9 shares of tatamotors and rest 5 shares has been adjusted against TDS and long-term capital gains. So what is the advantage in purchasing IDFC against IDFC bank ,the same tds and LTCG will apply for this also. Please clarify if I am wrong

in Tata Motor DVR based on average I had 30k as profit on the whole. But after the merger I got only 26k as the amount as invested.
I had 40 DVR shares but got only 27 credited instead of 28, as it said 1 is used for dividend TDS.
I am not sure if the merger is good for us. instead, would have gotten more profits when considering the actual shares instead of arbitrage.
Should we wait for the IDFC merger or to sell and buy some other shares worth the money? Someone please advise.
