Dog is first and foremost a father, he doing this on his validity, He has a federal apprehension agent certificate meaning he can legally find and detain Brian for the police. However because dog is a bounty hunter, he doesn't have to actually play by the law to catch Brian, this was the best thing they could have done.

What can this clown do if there is already numerous agencies searching where the parents said he would be? They have dozens of men on foot, swamp buggies, four wheelers, dogs, helicopters with heat sensing equipment. This isn't a scripted television show, the parents have talked to no one, and this guy goes up to their door, where he new every news agency would be taking his picture. If he really wanted to help, and not looking for attention, he would have contacted the parent's attorney.
They should make up fliers with Brian's picture along with the Reward amount & drop them all over Mexico & Canada .

Do the Laundries really believe this will end well for them and their son? They're only thinking day to day. Long term, their son potentially has a death sentence if he is charged with murder and convicted in a state that uses the death penalty. They're making the situation worse for Brian. Dog is first and foremost a father, he doing this on his validity, He has a federal apprehension agent certificate meaning he can legally find and detain Brian for the police. However because dog is a bounty hunter, he doesn't have to actually play by the law to catch Brian, this was the best thing they could have done.
Ah yes he runs a business but also a good family man at heart. Watch some of his shows~ they reveal two sides of this man ....and his family.
