    Hello Alex
    Can you please tell me what newtonmeter number that is needed for the Rotax engine bolts holding the engine to the chassie, so that I don't tighten the bolt to hard or to loose to the fasternes and destroy something!
    Best regards/ Jesper

      Dear Jesper, the engine should be mounted with around 24 Nm to the bracket.
      The bracket tightening torque to bolt the bracket onto the chassis will be different, depending on the type of chassis.

      Hi Kellie, to ensure your exhaust valve is properly working (opening and closing) you can conduct a simple check.
      The easiest way is to put the kart on a trolley and rev the engine up - the rave should open at around 8000-9000 rpm.
      Have a close look at the green bellow of your e-rave system and check if it opens and closes when you rev the engine.
      The easiest way to gain information about evo-spec parts and for technical support is to contact one of our authorized partners.
      Our dealer locator will show you our authorized partners in your area:: www.rotax-kart.com/de/Find-a-Dealer. Hope this helps! Your Rotax-Team 🙂

    Please advise, we didn't know anything about karting and didn't do the run in procedure properly what engine components would this have damaged?

      Helo Jacques. What did you do as a run in procedure?

      @@RotaxKarting We'll we were told by the distributor that they were going to turn the engine (Micromax) down at first, whatever that means, and after Julian had done some laps they were going to turn up the power. Again we we're new to karting and just went along. Julian will race Mini max also in 2019 though so we'll by another kart and engine but he will still race in Micromax with the old engine and I just wanted to find out if there were specific things I needed to replace on that engine since we might have damaged it through ignorance.

      @@jacquesbooysen3773 Hello Jaques. Has the engine stopped working?
      If YES, you may have seized the engine. This could be from a lack of warm-up and going too fast too soon on track.
      We need to know if the engine has stopped working.
      Regards, Darrell Smith

      @@RotaxKarting Nah, the engine is working fine actually, it' is just us looking at maximising the engine performance. We'll definitely follow the run in and warm up procedures going forward to avoid unnecessary worry.

    This engine is really cool. Could it be placed on Go Ped?

    • @RotaxKarting
      @RotaxKarting  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gabor, interesting idea :), but we do not (!) recommend to place it on GOPED

      @@RotaxKarting Thanks. I have a 22 horsepower rcmax engine mounted on a goped and maybe 71 mph / h. Go kart would be harder to drive than a goped :)

    The Intake silencer used to have an "O" ring in it before. Why is this missing in the new one

    • @RotaxKarting
      @RotaxKarting  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Denys, the o-ring was only used for the DD2 execution, not for the MAX airbox. The new DD2 airbox does not require the o-ring anymore.
