K quick update for anybody who has been struggling with the fps drop in mw3. I uninstalled it to reinstall it but just decided to buy the digital version on sale. Installed it on the series s and I tried 1 quick game it was working perfectly (other than connection) 👍
I’ve contacted a Xbox employee and they said their was a update last week about backwards compatibility has been updated last week and they said the information disclose about what they fixed it. I made a video of the conversation of me n the employee
So to say this in the easiest way their was a patch to fix all games like l4d wouldn’t find a game now it does in 2023 but last year I couldn’t find a game instantly until this week
Thae fact that they've fixed the servers at same time they can purchase COD does lllook good for gamepass owners. But these games can be found pretty cheap seconds hand so the more people we can get in the old games the better. Let the devs know which games we like the most with player counts
Black ops 1 has 100k players. On the Xbox consoles, no cheaters on that Game for me as of yet, and mw3 still has little issues for me, but it's much better. Bo2 still rough. But I'm so happy bo1 is live right now man. That's my personal favorite one
Mine says 110K players online as of today. Not sure if it’s accurate or not but I would hope so. Playing on Series S. Insane to see that player count but I fuckin love it.
My hope is, xbox announces a Call of duty Master Chief Colliection like edition that has MW2 multiplayer all the way to Bo2 with all zombies content. I’ll buy that shit for $100 over this bs we got nowadays.

I recently found out that they fixed the servers. Thank goodness. I've been wanting to play the old games for a couple of years now and haven't because of the broken lobbies. Feels good to pop the old Black Ops 1 disc into the Series X and quickly find and play a full-lobby match.
Been years since I’ve played these old games, I literally just ordered a second hand Xbox off eBay so I can hop back on. So glad the servers seem to be fixed
just a heads up for those wondering this is my theory that I'm sure most of you already know.. Since the deal is going through slowly but surely i believe activison is just getting the older servers ready to put all the games on gamepass. right now they are not on gamepass PC but i 100% believe they will be eventually.
If MS is smart, then one of their first orders of business will be to implement anti-cheat on the older CODs. I'm hesitant to hop back in because of that. Really wish MW2 Remastered had online because that game looks and feels great.
@@SoullessxDream I encountered one right away on BO2 and backed out immediately lol. I haven't tried to play it since, but MW2 has a lot of noobs on it. I saw a lot of low rank players in most lobbies I played. Crazy.
@ZafVirex I'd say half of lobbies I joined were hacked lobby but once you find a normal lobby it's just like old times... Bo1, WaW, Mw3 were smooth Mw2 Connection was laggy here and there
I had the lag issue on MW3 as well and the way I fixed it is to bring up the 360 menu with start & select button, just sign out and sign in and it should fix it!
Good looks! I actually got it fixed now. I tried what worked for you but that didn’t fix it for me. I was gonna uninstall/reinstall but decided to just buy the digital version and installed that and it fixed it
mw2 2009 crashes non stop for me when going into a match, everything works until then, i can change classes, change titles, emblems etc but once i try going into a match it crashes, i thought it was my disc so tried a downloaded version but still the same problem, can play the campaign no problem to.

Ive playd MW2, MWR and BO1 so far in past 24 hours im from uk. All games the servers have been laggy for me causing bad hit detection and feeling like i die so fast. Even on four bar connection in mw2 and bo1. Hope this changes cus i have a few games n get fed up. Have to be honest
Quick question, If I buy the map pack bundle for World at war (Original) on the store for 24.99, I will get all the maps no problem right? That I can’t answer for sure because I already own all that dlc. A few subscribers mentioned they bought the world at war dlc because they got tired of being kicked from lobbies when dlc maps came up. They never said anything about it glitching on them. But again, I don’t wanna tell you straight up to go buy it in case this is a legitimate issue that I’m unaware of

I think the reason why so many people are asking you about if you can play on this or that console is because most of them asking must have a ps4/5. Meaning, they are unfamiliar with xbox's backwards compatibility tech since sony does not offer it. Either way... WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!! edit: Yeah Idk wtf they are asking if it works on ps3/4.. And just to clarify they separated the servers for 360 games for the Xbox one (also series consoles). So if you are playing cod on an actual 360 you cannot play with your Xbox one friends, completely different servers
your display is probably too new for xbox 360, might have to go around tweaking settings figure out what the proper refresh rate, Frames/fps and pixels (720 maybe?) would have been for the 360 and then adjust your tv settings to match

I use my old modded xbox and fixed my copies of the games, and now their fresh new files. I can finally play it again. The reason why i used to mod was because the servers were broken and all that, but now it's all up and running. I can finally have a purpose of my rgh and delete all my mods, thankfully :)
Are you playing on next gen consoles or Xbox 360 is there any input lag when playing backwards compatibility? I’m buying a Xbox series S today and I don’t want to wast my money if there’s going to be severe lag? I played MW2 2009 when they first released it on backwards compatibility and it felt really weird to me it felt off and I couldn’t enjoy the experience and so I stopped playing. But now that the servers are fixed and everyone’s back on the old games again I’ve been wanting to give backwards compatibility another try so could you let me know what console your playing on and if there is any input lag?
Most of the gameplay for the last 8 months or so on this channel has been on the series s. The bo1 gameplay in this video as well as the bo1/bo2 gameplay in my last video is on the series s. The cod 4 gameplay is on the one s. Input lag feels very minimal if any at all. You’ll notice some connection issues here and there. But responsive nonetheless. It’s hard to say for sure because we have different monitors. But I honestly feel like you’ll be alright on the series s 👍

Well my black ops doesn’t work on my Xbox one, I just get a msg stating to visit a link showing a list of backwards compatible games. So I’m having to play it on the 360 for now.
That’s a situation I won’t be able to help you with. I’ve tried the 360 disks for cod 4, waw, mw2/3 and they’ve all worked on the Xbox 1. My bo1 disk broke a while back so I had to buy it digitally
So the servers are not actually broken on ps3. Either you have a newer psn, which is a problem going on for a while now that Sony’s gotta fix. Or you have the dlc installed stopping you from finding lobbies. I have a video on my channel showing how to disable the dlc on ps3 and you can turn it back on whenever you want. I can’t put the link here because TH-cam will delete this reply
Somehow I’ve literally been getting motion sickness from playing the old games. Maybe it’s because I’m playing on a monitor I dont know. I also realized the deadzones for my sticks are horrible and I can barely aim. Idk if it’s because I’m playing on an XBOX SERIES S or what but man it’s nostalgic.
Same I’m struggling big time right now trying to get my aim right (you can tell in the gameplays I’ve uploaded) Hopefully I’ll just get used to it the more I play. It’s just dope we got these old classics back on Xbox

Decided to buy the digital version and installed it in my series s and it works perfectly. Before buying it again try messing around with it tho. Try uninstall/reinstall. Or try deleting the reserve data etc
I’d say bo1, mw3 and bo2 (but bo2 got cheaters everywhere) Not having problems finding lobbies on any of them tho except a little waw and cod 4 depending on what time you’re trying them

I have an Xbox one x and I've tried them all. The only one I had any trouble with was world at war. When you try to download the maps. It tells you that it might not work on Xbox one. And that comes directly from the Xbox store.
I just can’t play still the input delay is horrible when playing on new gen if you guys are on PlayStation wanting to get on Xbox because the servers are back please get a 360 because newer gen is unplayable
When we get online into a lobby with people we’re not playing on an anti-cheat. We’re playing on a server. Whether it’s peer to peer or dedicated. It’s a server to connect everybody together in that lobby. But a server alone can’t stop cheaters & hackers. That’s where better security, anti-cheat etc come in Hope this helps

Its not just Call of Duty. Its all Xbox matchmaking for older consoles. I play Left 4 Dead 1 and the matchmaking was broken before as you couldn't join anything. Now it puts me in games right away.

There is a rumor going on that Microsoft actually tried asking for the dev tools to fix the servers in PS4 and Sony rejected the decision. Probably due to some security concerns or just being petty about the deal.

Never had the chance to try the xb1 version of ghosts so I can’t say. The ps4 version doesn’t seem to have cheaters but the 360 version got cheaters in pretty much every lobby

We actively try not to spread misinformation around here homie. The servers are definitely not broken. If you can’t find lobbies there’s something else going on. Try deleting the dlc if you have it installed

On mw3 you might need to turn off the vault recording. After I turned it off I had a lot less of lag.

To be honest I think they'll start remastering the full games of these Cods in-between the new ones with the anti cheat

They're on there. One every few games. The nostalgia overrides it a bit. It's worth playing a few games if you miss it.

The only problem with playing on series x or xbox one is that the controller dead zones are huge.

For mw3 my frames were putrid but I just went to manage game and deleted the reserved data then the game ran perfectly

Quick question, If I buy the map pack bundle for World at war (Original) on the store for 24.99, I will get all the maps no problem right? I ask, because I seen a person say there is a glitch or something involving it? *EDIT - I CAN CONFIRM, IT WORKS AFTER BUYING THE MAP PACKS. There is no glitches / bugs.
That I can’t answer for sure because I already own all that dlc. A few subscribers mentioned they bought the world at war dlc because they got tired of being kicked from lobbies when dlc maps came up. They never said anything about it glitching on them. But again, I don’t wanna tell you straight up to go buy it in case this is a legitimate issue that I’m unaware of

It's a shame that the cheaters are still running BO2 - I loved that game. Was never very keen on BO1, although admittedly didn't play it very much. I look forward to giving both a try later though :)

@ayvzu5028 Just tried BO2 and it was generally OK. One obviously dodgy match out of about six I played, not really much worse than the newer cod games. Worth saying I was on at the quiet time of the day though.

I think the reason why so many people are asking you about if you can play on this or that console is because most of them asking must have a ps4/5. Meaning, they are unfamiliar with xbox's backwards compatibility tech since sony does not offer it. Either way... WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!

And just to clarify they separated the servers for 360 games for the Xbox one (also series consoles). So if you are playing cod on an actual 360 you cannot play with your Xbox one friends, completely different servers

your display is probably too new for xbox 360, might have to go around tweaking settings figure out what the proper refresh rate, Frames/fps and pixels (720 maybe?) would have been for the 360 and then adjust your tv settings to match

I use my old modded xbox and fixed my copies of the games, and now their fresh new files. I can finally play it again. The reason why i used to mod was because the servers were broken and all that, but now it's all up and running. I can finally have a purpose of my rgh and delete all my mods, thankfully :)
Are you playing on next gen consoles or Xbox 360 is there any input lag when playing backwards compatibility? I’m buying a Xbox series S today and I don’t want to wast my money if there’s going to be severe lag? I played MW2 2009 when they first released it on backwards compatibility and it felt really weird to me it felt off and I couldn’t enjoy the experience and so I stopped playing. But now that the servers are fixed and everyone’s back on the old games again I’ve been wanting to give backwards compatibility another try so could you let me know what console your playing on and if there is any input lag?
Most of the gameplay for the last 8 months or so on this channel has been on the series s. The bo1 gameplay in this video as well as the bo1/bo2 gameplay in my last video is on the series s. The cod 4 gameplay is on the one s. Input lag feels very minimal if any at all. You’ll notice some connection issues here and there. But responsive nonetheless. It’s hard to say for sure because we have different monitors. But I honestly feel like you’ll be alright on the series s 👍

They won't be able to til 2025 at earliest.They still won't buy blizzard/activision til beginning of next year at the earliest it's a process.

Well my black ops doesn’t work on my Xbox one, I just get a msg stating to visit a link showing a list of backwards compatible games. So I’m having to play it on the 360 for now.
That’s a situation I won’t be able to help you with. I’ve tried the 360 disks for cod 4, waw, mw2/3 and they’ve all worked on the Xbox 1. My bo1 disk broke a while back so I had to buy it digitally

Either you have a newer psn, which is a problem going on for a while now that Sony’s gotta fix. Or you have the dlc installed stopping you from finding lobbies. I have a video on my channel showing how to disable the dlc on ps3 and you can turn it back on whenever you want. I can’t put the link here because TH-cam will delete this reply
Somehow I’ve literally been getting motion sickness from playing the old games. Maybe it’s because I’m playing on a monitor I dont know. I also realized the deadzones for my sticks are horrible and I can barely aim. Idk if it’s because I’m playing on an XBOX SERIES S or what but man it’s nostalgic.
Same I’m struggling big time right now trying to get my aim right (you can tell in the gameplays I’ve uploaded) Hopefully I’ll just get used to it the more I play. It’s just dope we got these old classics back on Xbox

Honestly I couldn’t tell you on that for sure. Hopefully somebody see your comment and can let you know but I can say this. Mw3 was unplayable for me. I had the disk playing it on Xbox one s. Decided to buy the digital version and installed it in my series s and it works perfectly.
Before buying it again try messing around with it tho. Try uninstall/reinstall. Or try deleting the reserve data etc

But now that the servers are fixed my time has come.
Only issue I have is the input delay/curve response on controller
I’m not 100% on what it is exactly but I’m leaning more towards deadzone on the newer controllers than an input lag issue

I have an Xbox one x and I've tried them all. The only one I had any trouble with was world at war. When you try to download the maps. It tells you that it might not work on Xbox one. And that comes directly from the Xbox store.

Yeah, that "servers fixed = anti cheats" confuses me too. I'm either really stupid or way too smart to understand it.
When we get online into a lobby with people we’re not playing on an anti-cheat. We’re playing on a server. Whether it’s peer to peer or dedicated. It’s a server to connect everybody together in that lobby.
But a server alone can’t stop cheaters & hackers. That’s where better security, anti-cheat etc come in

Its not just Call of Duty. Its all Xbox matchmaking for older consoles. I play Left 4 Dead 1 and the matchmaking was broken before as you couldn't join anything. Now it puts me in games right away.

There is a rumor going on that Microsoft actually tried asking for the dev tools to fix the servers in PS4 and Sony rejected the decision. Probably due to some security concerns or just being petty about the deal.

Never had the chance to try the xb1 version of ghosts so I can’t say. The ps4 version doesn’t seem to have cheaters but the 360 version got cheaters in pretty much every lobby

We actively try not to spread misinformation around here homie. The servers are definitely not broken. If you can’t find lobbies there’s something else going on. Try deleting the dlc if you have it installed
