Great video! I like that you mention the misconception that is cost alot of money to get started. Would you consider perhaps taking a challenge and set a reasonable amount of money and for the both of you show what you could do as a starter aquascape tank (cost should cover filtration, light, substrate, initial plants and hardscape materials). Perhaps using the 45S or 5N.
@@henrikmadsen2176 I don't know if I would call myself an expert, but I do enjoy Aquascaping nano tanks. I posted some of my work on TH-cam, if you have any questions I would gladly help.
I love this! My question for next time is: can you tell us a bit about what common hobby plants do well at higher temperatures (~82-85 Celsius) and what plants do not?
Really enjoyed the Q&A. I just purchased a 16T with some ideas for non-filter set up, so I will be tagging you guys once it’s done!! What is your best advice for cleaning Dragon Stone?
Thank you for answering my questions! I started the hobby working part time earrings $200 a week. Took months to finally put a tank together. All petco things too 😂 (sorry not sorry) Its he for me!
Great video guys! I just wish the hobby would get big enough here so we could have a green aqua, aquarium gardens type shops here in Chicago! The amount hardscape and plant choices they have there is crazy! Although I’d be broke 😂 the hardscape behind you is sick btw 🔥
My question is what are your feelings about DIY CO2? Either home made or a lot. Do you think they can be beneficial to help jumpstart plants before committing to a full CO2 setup?
This is a great question for the next round! But as a short quick answer, DIY CO2 has many disadvantages that it's probably best to just go straight into a full setup, you have many affordable options nowadays. You can grow low-tech plants in the meantime until you're ready to commit to a full setup.
Hi, you said it’s important to have a good flow in a planted tank but I have a betta fish in my planted tank so I put a sponge to reduce the flow, it’s that a mistake?
It is not necessarily a mistake! You should always keep in mind the wellbeing of your inhabitants. Too much flow can be exhausting for a betta so we think you made the right move. It is important to have good flow so that there are no dead spots in the tank where the water would stay stagnant, detritus and waste collect in areas where there is no flow, so as long as those areas are cleaned out regularly you should not have probelsm
I wish I had just bought more expensive quality gear from the start instead of wasting so much money and time on lesser products. Thank you for the videos.

It's funny you say that, we have something planned for exactly that!

What is your best advice for cleaning Dragon Stone?
Can't wait to see it!
A simple toothbrush should do just fine for dragonstone. A wire brush is okay for super tough algae too.

That would be the dream, we hope so too! Luckily the US already has incredible shops like ADG in Houston. Chicago is a major city so...🤞🤞🤞

What's a fish that you wish was more commonly available in the hobby? That can mean it's simply more affordable or more often for sale.
Tucanoichthys Tucano comes to mind...
Also, how can I get one of the UNS stickers 😜
by leaving a comment and maybe winning the giveaway :) so you're halfway there!
Has anyone had issues with uns aquariums leaking or uns stands not holding?
What is the largest planted aquarium you think is reasonable to keep and maintain yourself?
In our opinion 180U would be about the largest tank that could be reasonably maintainable as a hobbyist.

People underestimate how much they would actually save by just buying something once!
