just left clinician who advocates the "lift" and says the 'pull to the pocket" is so "80's'; I pull to the pocket but during a run I get too stressed and over pull so I see that "lifting" (not crossing over the neck) may keep me OFF his face; clinician DID teach use of leg so incorporating inside leg as you do and adding forward hands/lift may work..(in my case) .
