  • When it comes to Lakeshore East GO Train Line and the 90 Lakeshore East bus, which mode of transportation is faster? The Lakeshore East GO Train Line runs trains everyday making all station stops between Toronto and Oshawa. The 90 Lakeshore East GO Bus Route travels between Toronto
and Oshawa, while skipping stations between Toronto and Pickering. Service on the 90 Lakeshore East usually starts approximately 45 Minutes before Eastbound GO Train Service.
Which Route will make it to Oshawa First?
The GO Bus or GO Train?

I can definitely see why Metrolinx is prioritizing electrification of the GO Network. So much time is wasted in the train achieving pickup to depart and to have enough time to brake correctly. Having ridden mostly EMUs most of my life, it does seem like a big time loss.

I think the GO train is a lot faster than the GO bus, the train has fewer stops and no traffic and the bus has more stop and traffic lights

Metrolink is starting to expand on it's railway system too and soon electric wires like on high speed rail in china or japan will be attached to all go trains 🚆 😐😐😐

I think you shouldn't have froze the red lights, because honestly it feels very redundent.

I feel like the fastest mode depends on time. I've gotten from bovaird in brampton to union in 45 mins on a sunday (from malton go to union it took like 25 mins). If i took a bus during weekday rush hour between the same 2 stops, it would've been a lot longer and thats where the train would be faster. For any go train bus route this applies to all of them. The train is usually more better to commuters as well. No traffic, has the ability (or will have the ability thanks to RER) to go faster than 80-100 km/h, and its more comfortable to sit on a train than a bus

I'm really surprised, I thought the train would always win since there isn't any traffic. Interesting video

Depends where you start in TO. North York to the Shwa , bus rules. Downtown to the Shwa, train rules. Stupid idea.

Every GO Transit Train Corridor has a complimentary bus service at select times with the same name, being on the same corridor. There is also the 407 East/West bus routes and other routes within the areas of the same corridor. You can tell what bus routes belong to which corridor. Burgundy Red represents Lakeshore West. Green represents Kitchener/Georgetown. Orange represents Milton. Dark/Navy Blue represents Barrie. Light/Sky Blue represents Richmond Hill. Brown represents Stouffville and Red-Orange represents Lakeshore East.

Remember, these are favorable conditions. Drive on 401 before Covid and it would be much slower. Seeing no traffic on the 401 is kind of a once in a blue moon sight

The 90 runs from union stn before the go train so it’s 5AM when 90 is running

Keep in mind that the bus is express to Pickering and then all stops to Oshawa while the train serves all stops to Oshawa

@@TransmaniaOntario That answers my question! I noticed the TC-54's and the trailer still on Brock Road in Pickering just before the 401. That was my old project!
