He didn't need long to win over the fans. Playing football "the Glasgow Celtic way" is a surefire winner with the fans and Ange's team does it in spades.
It's more than that though, it's about the way the man carries himself in his dealings with the fans and the media. He's been through a lot in his managerial career and Celtic are reaping the fruits of that experience.
I'd love him to stay for a decade and more even now, because it's obvious that his brand of football is what people want to see. I know it won't happen though, it's not his way unfortunately so we should enjoy it while it lasts.

Glad you appreciate him. what I really like about the Celtic fans is, despite not knowing him initially, you did your homework and learnt his backstory. It would of been so easy for Celtic fans to dismiss him as a man from a country that doesn't appreciate football like you guys do but the reality is he is part of the European migration to Australia in the 60s onward that epitomises football culture in our country (Mark Viduka for eg.). Football is the future of Australian sport and Ange is our pioneer

Celtic have just big enough a budget for Ange to get all the bargain based players of quality he needs from anywhere he spots them. He’ll make $4 million dollars players into $40 million dollar players. Even a player like Ralston he helps achieve far higher things. Big players with big egos and big pay packets won’t suit him. He needs players he rates who will get with the rhythm and will play his way, always. He builds players and teams. And Celtic allows him to have a genuine crack at the European League (in time). Perfect fit, as you say.

On terms his football attacking sense something we haven’t seen before and makes me wonder why this man didn’t get a job in Europe before us and were so lucky to have him we literally cant wait to every game each week to be at paradise his signings as well with literally his hands tied behind his back have been unreal and some best we might see at Celtic fingers crossed ☘️ love him and this just start once we start winning trophy’s and the energy of fans and city and once rules of covid ease up he can travel about city/country when gets a minute as he is 24/7 in Lennox town but him and his family can really see what country is like ! "Postecoglou says he wanted to instil a blueprint for the green and gold to flourish in the future, but parties such as Football Federation Australia and media figures were only interested in booking a spot at football's premier tournament." FFA bosses, take a hard look at where the Socceroos are now. Good to see Cam Devlin doing well too. I'd love to see more Olyroos in the SPFL.

I believe that FFA sold Ange short. That an Australian wasn't deserving of the backing given to European managers in the Socceroos hot seat.
FFA lacked faith in Ange - he'd been through a similar scenario with Soccer Australia when he was underage national team manager.
Outside of Guus Hiddink, Ange is the standout Aussie boss of the past 40+ years.
Sadly, the Socceroos have gone backwards under the current manager - there is a complete lack of tactical direction. I fear that our tilt at WC 2022 qualification will end in tears.

    • @glennmaillard5972

@@waggafletcher Recent signs not great. But not qualifying is not my issue. Not playing brave attacking attractive football is. Via that means, teams get better IMO. But that’s long term thinking. That’s Ange thinking. That’s thinking I like. Not enough football folk in Australia (or anywhere else, really) have the foresight and balls for that.
