My first full wearing of Vanilla Oud on Saturday, and it really was an olfactive journey. I was beyond impressed at the changes. For me the real magic was about 4 hours in when the scent settled into a completely enveloping warm sweetness, but still with a great masculine edge to it. Hard to describe. Well worth a try if you're on the fence about it

I absolutely knew you'd love ATH Homme, it's right up your alley. All the real orris butter goodness without the synth iris lipstick, a certain freshness and tons more wearability.
I rank it similarly as you. DHP I rank as a legendary designer, but I rank this just as high for different reasons. An iris lover must try
I wore Zaharoff Signature Rose for Christmas and you are not lying it really is like glue. 3 sprays and I could smell literally 12 hours later yesterday.
I actually caught a whoff right as I was getting ready for bed and I had sprayed it right before noon earlier that day.

When you and Justin combine to hype a fragrance like Vanilla Oud, i know the fragrance is a must have especially since i am now exploring oud. This is the way i conquered my fear of oud together with that Vanilla and Caramel combo. Amazing fragrance
I have a 2015 75ml batch of DHP. It's glorious. I also have two newer 100ml bottles as well (one of which I've opened to give it an opportunity to macerate / mature). When directly compared, I'd say the 100ml is slightly less animalic and maybe wears a touch thinner. I have to say though, the last time I wore the 100ml by itself, I got the same joy & satisfaction as I do with the vintage. I'd imagine that only improves as the new juice matures over the years.

Aaron Terence Hughes makes some FANTASTIC frags; glad to see him getting some love. I always thought his house was right up your alley. I must have missed your first impressions on this one. Guapo, Haze Extreme, Maverick are some of my faves. People RAVE about his Oud fragrances so I bet you would be a fan too!
I need to get my hands on some Argos Frags.
I’ll give a couple for each season for my near perfect scents . There’s plenty more but these come to mind at the moment.
Spring: wulong cha/ Guerlain lhomme ideal cologne
Summer: frapin lhumaniste/ Al haramain neroli canvas
Fall: khamrah/layton
Winter: bond no 9 New York oud/ Dior homme intense
All around: percival/ Prada lhomme/ bond no 9 scent of peace for him. Had to throw 3 in this category 😂

Isola Blu is one of my absolute fragrances and I’m the same way, it’s so beautiful and so pricey I almost never touch it, it’s stupid… New Years Resolution - put a huge dent in Isola Blu!

Great lineup. I have a few and agree. How close is isola blu to TDH? I've heard it's close but I've heard that with other frags and it turned out to be a pure cope or inaccurate.

BDC EDP has gotten me noticed more than anything. But BDC Parfum is superior. Refined, not as loud and lasts longer. I call it my Bruce Wayne scent.

i wear acqua di gio, the original classic is my favorite and the womens version too.. ive had both and they smell good, and another one is chanel chance its a green bottle but very fresh and lighter than the mens, nice list btw
If I had to choose between Aventus Cologne or Silver Mountain Water from Creed, I couldn't. Both 10/10.
My 2017 bottle of Mercedes club black... In winter I've never had a fragrance give me an much compliments
Layton exclusif, DHI, Aventus, Adg Profumo, discontinued but amazing Armani mania, Aventus cologne, swy intensely, Bond No.9 Ruby, PDM Althair for my vanilla and finally Magia Maestrale, I have the new argos on my radar, that bottle is gorgeous.

Profumo is amazing. Four season in my opinion
One that comes to mind for me that's "almost perfect" is probably my all-time favorite fragrance and what got me into collecting fragrances: John Varvatos XX. To this day, the only other fragrance that has come close to blowing me away like XX did is Paco Rabanne's One Million Privé. XX is unlike anything that I've ever smelled. The red apple in this is just exquisite, and everything from the opening to the dry-down is just fantastic. For me, it's intoxicating and addictive. I fall in love with it all over again every time I use it. Idk what it is about this fragrance that just works for my skin and I, but it works😅. I've gotten the most compliments from this out of the almost 50 or so fragrances that I currently have. I've been told various things from me smelling great to smelling absolutely delicious and divine. The only issue with this is that, unless I overspray, John Varvatos XX does not last long. 😑😑 this only lasting 6 hours should be a crime, I tell ya! If this was released as an EDP, it would be a whole 10. Until then, it's a 9. 🤷🏾♂️ a huge plus with this is that it's very inexpensive.

I don't think I have a 10/10 for me. My ' top' fragrances all though not 10/10s are red tobacco, 9am dive and Encre Noire
Creed Aventus Cologne is my shit!!
I finally bit the bullet and purchased the 100ml bottle of Dior Homme Parfum. For me, the drydown reeks of rose. So heavy it overpowers the leather and iris I was expecting to get, which is why I purchased it in the first place. Anyone else get that over abundance of rose? I understand the 75ml version doesn’t have the prominent rose note.
The 75ml indeed has prominent rose. Not sure who told you that it doesn't. Sorry that you don't like it. It's a masterpiece
@@TLTGReviews Yah…I guess I wasn’t figuring it to be so prominent. On my skin, I literally get no leather and very little iris in the drydown. To my nose, the rose note is somewhat off putting. And the worst thing is, my wife went “ick” when I wore it so there goes $185! Maybe I’ll resell. I do enjoy your reviews though…keep on rocking!

Loved watching this review, but I am VERY surprised that Xerjoff Accento was not in this video. Not because i’m biased towards that fragrance, but because I blind bought that fragrance simply because of the 9 or 9.5 rating you gave it in that video. A 10/10 fragrance is the composition quality and blend of a fragrance..,just cuz a fragrance is a 10/10 that doesn't have to be your favorite you just recognize the art and perfumery at its finest

Le Male Le Parfum is close to being a 10/10 for me
Strongly, strongly disagree with you on ATH Homme... because that fragrance IS a perfect 10/10 for me. (Seriously, thanks for showing that one some love.) Clive Christian Blonde Amber and PDM Greenley are my only other perfect 10s.
My 3 almost perfects and why:
PDM Carlisle -- 9.99 Cool weather only.
Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum -- 9.9 It might be perfect, but I've only owned it for 6 months, so it's hard to give it a 10 that quickly.
Paris Corner Emir Vibrant Vetiver Delight -- 9.7 I smile every time I smell this. I don't care that it's "synthetic" -- I like it. (And strangely, I don't really like Bal D'Afrique.)

the dark leather accord. not sure why you don't. especially if you had the old 75ml...
@@TLTGReviews I have 75ml, old one, there is leather, but I find civet, and similar stuff as animalic, but I guess leather can be animalic for some people.
My fiancée absolutely hates the smell of Profumo. Naturally I own a 4.2oz bottle of it I can never wear unless she’s out of town or something. 🙃🤣
My wife hates the opening also due to how strong it is. Profumo is one that you spray only about two or three sprays, then wait 45 minutes to an hour before getting too close to your significant other so it has time to settle down, then it's magic
I have very few 10/10 rated fragrances, with Isola Blu also being one of mine. BDC Parfum and ADG Profumo is also a 10 in my collection.
Ones that come so close are Signature Royale X, Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree, and Precious Liquid Blue Agave.
