True hack: if you drop your phone in water, take the SIM card out, turn your oven on the lowest temp(around 150 degrees F). And leave your phone in the oven for a couple hours. It works much more effectively than the rice because the heat makes the water inside the phone evaporate, not just near the outside. Also, no rice grains get stuck in the ports. I promise it doesn't fry your phone. I have done it twice and am typing right now on the same device.

I'm an avid reader, English dork, etc. But I learned that going around belittling someone for the slightest grammar issues and ignoring the content does not add any value to the conversation. It just makes people defensive and frankly, unless you're correcting an essay or it's an academic setting, pointing out typos and unintentional breaking of grammar rules comes off as really rude and stuck up. Not everybody has English as a first language and not everybody is as good with grammar as you might be. Try to show a little compassion if they're trying.

2) at the pool? Put your phone in a ziplock bag and seal it . Now you have a waterproof case! And you can still use it as a touchscreen!!!

Although, the touchscreen kinda goes crazy if you try to use it through the plastic bag underwater. I'd use it more as a protective shield just in case you get those people who splash you while you're trying to use your phone outside of the pool.
