I bought Animalique, Sellier and Accord Oud recently and they are absolutely stellar. A lot of their early releases where very simple, minimalist scents but they departed from this quite a bit with some of their recent stuff. I think a lot of people try the same 3-4 scents from the house and then dismiss them. They are quite underrated overall.

@@edwinp. I sampled Bal D’Afrik and was smitten 🤩 and I always thought a bottle was on the horizon but I never committed, so many offerings clouds the judgement these days lol but it is bottle worthy and Gypsy Water also intrigued me 👍
Byredo is my all-time-favorite in general.for the price i wished they would last longer. i love/got Pulp, Mixed Emotions, Eleventh Hour and Eyes closed.
Sounds great, not every fragrance has to be beast mode, I've been curious about this one for a long time but being sincere I think I'm going to go for the one with the darker juice that you have there, that would be money well spent 😁Also haven't tried Bal de Afrique , the question for me is: do I really need it? If I need a soft fragrance for a flight I'll stay with my BVLGARI Homme OG, I think I am complete with that one. Thanks for the Unboxing Marc!!!
Good one, my friend ! Jerome Epinet is the perfumer for most of the Byredo and he does not like to make big projecting scents .. I am not sure I like that. Bal d´Afrique is very beautiful tho.
I feel that some might not care at all for Byredo and for others it is their favourite house. It really depends on what you look for in a scent. If what you want is beastmode with strong notes, Byredo is not for you. But this reminds me of woman with that pretty girl aesthetic
Only tried a couple from this house. Sundazed I thought I liked on first wear but quickly became sickly, probably the neroli for me. I also have a sample of Anamalique that I haven't finished, I found it similar to an Oriza L.legrand fragrance, Violettes du Cuzar. I'm not fond of the violet/leather combo in either.
Great review. Crazy I get 6 hours a good solid 6 my wife gets 8 plus I’ve smelled it on her after she gets home from work without digging my nose in her walk by me an I get solid whiffs off her 💯💯💯
That was the problem for me. I sampled everything from there, and I didn’t find them to be very long lasting pulp is interesting. The best ones I liked was the two ouds and I purchased Oud immortal. I need to try those new ones that dark juice 🧃 looks AMAZING

I felt the same way with Mojave Ghost, maybe a good time to revisit the scent. I went and got B’aldeafrique after sampling a few years ago.

Tobacco Mandarin is the only one I bought after sampling this line, but I personally like "darker" scents

Good ol Epinette! There's room for whisper scents in anyone's wardrobe. Just have to find the right ones.

100% on the woman with the pretty girl aesthetic vibe. I think Byredo has lately amped up including some I smelt like the Tobacco one I own.

Not to my nose. Same family, yes, same seasons, yes. Could one replace the other, of course but similiar scent profile? Not really.
