I must be missing something...if'm doing an online deployment with an authentication code. Where do I input the code on the target computer to start deployment?
Hi Javin, Thank you for your comment. You are correct. You need to enter the authentication code in the target computer in order to deploy the image. Ensure that the target computer connects to the ManageEngine Desktop Central OS deployment Server. This ‘passcode’ method of deployment is usually used when you have the target computer near you. If the target computer is not on site, then we’d recommend you use the MAC address method. In this method, you can remotely wake up computers and deploy the image. Specify the computers MAC address, IP address and subnet mask details to remotely wake up the computer and initiate deployment.
@@bcitnz yes but where?? Where do you enter the code? I feel like I'm missing several steps. Not sure where on the target computer to enter the code and entering the MAC also fails. Says I cannot make a connection to the target computer on the deployment task, however I have checked that my server can ping the target machine and all firewalls are off. This is highly frustrating and confusing.
Hi nitricdx, Thank you for your comment. After updating your Desktop Central to the latest version, you will require a new license key and apply it in your existing Desktop Central to enable the OS Deployer Add-On. You can contact sales@manageengine.com to get this new license key.

how does the os deployment addon licencing work ? when they say in the website that you can purshase the addon for 100 computers does that mean that you buy 100 deployments and when you reach that number you have to buy more ?

Hi OS deployment in instructions video, i can deploy with a new computer, not join domain through PXE ?...Because I'm follow the instructions, when created new vitual machines, VM cannot boot because OS not found...How to do it if i follow the instructions ? or only possible if VM joined domain controller ? My image successfully completed but when I restart the newly imaged pc, it goes to automatic repair loop and it will not load the new image.
