Tobacco Oud is amazing - but yes, polarising - great to hear her thoughts. Others I own and love from TF are Ombré Leather (I get more dark fruitiness from Tobacco Oud), Black Orchid (still generally sold next to the other women’s options here in the UK) & Oud Wood.

Tobacco Oud is one of the most amazing smells I ever come across! But I don't like Tuscan and Ombré Leathers, so also Black Orchid. But surprisingly, I have Velvet Orchid, a flanker, and I'm loving it gradually. It grew on me so fast, which means I will have to revisit the Black Orchid now. I love Tobacco Vanille so much too, but only through its clones. The DNA is amazing. So by and large, Tom Ford house for me so far is love it or hate it seemingly. Thank you for the video J. C., and thank you for bringing Grace. That her nose is great. Very soon I will start calling her GRACE THE GREAT! 😁 She's doing a great job! 👍
I felt the same way about oud mineral. At first I didn't like it but I kept thinking about it and wanting to smelt it more because it's so unique. It does smell better to me on the dry down.
I'm thinking of picking up Ombre Leather and I for sure still need to check out Oud Minerale. On a side note, I picked up a small bottle of Gucci Guilty Absolute and I love it. I might go ahead and pick up a larger backup bottle.
I have the body spray of Mandarino di Amalfi. I had TF's Neroli Potifino in spray form also, but along with CB's Tardes, Chanel's 2015 BdC's parfum, as well as a few more, someone needed them more than me. I don't know who that was, but I'm sure they smell good. I love Plum Japanois and Tobacco Oud. Boy, Gracie has gotten great with notes. Have a great weekend you two.

Great video guys. TF has a ton of perfumes. My personal favorite are Bois Marocain (discontinued) and Tuscan Leather, I also have Black Violet that I like less. I didn't care much for Black Orchid. Italian Cypress smells really good. I've got to try some of the ones on this video now!

Oud Minerale is one of my favorites! Kingston Ferry from Olympic Orchids is the only other one that gives me that PNW water vibe. But KF has some diesel accord (reminds me of the waterfront in Seattle), while OM is just PNW or Alaska water... maybe in an old ship.
Awesome video. I ordered a sample of oud wood and oud minerale years ago and thought they both smelled weird and nothing like I was expecting, I actually thought they smelled very feminine. However, after a few months and giving them a few wears I ended up liking oud wood a lot and fell in love with oud minerale. I was infatuated with it for quite some time and purchased a larger decant. My lady loves it so much she wears it herself.
Man I love tom ford, his fragrances are freaking amazing. I have ombré leather, noir extreme and fucking fabulous, these are in my top 3. In a future I’ll be getting Tuscan leather and Oud wood.

Nice video Justin! Tobacco Oud is a killer fragrance, but you need a certain personality to wear it. doesn't suit everyone imo. quick question, any idea what's the difference between oud wood and oud wood intense?
It definitely has a strong personality. OW and OWI are actually nothing alike to my nose. OWI is a slightly animalic, woody and spicy scent. The original is a medicinal woody, sweet vanilla, and slightly spicy scent. They share almost nothing in common to me, it's strange!
I have been negative about one of your videos in the past. It was the first I watched actually. I was wrong. Dead wrong. I apologise for my rash behaviour. I have continued watching your videos. You should know you are doing an incredible job. You stick out from the other fragrance channels. You two are amazing together. It’s so obvious that you are both totally in love. It’s really nice to see. Congratulations by the way…on the the marriage. Now, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver was the first fragrance that became ‘my scent’ I have since fallen in love with a lot of his other fragrances. Some are out of my price range. Although I’m saving. I love Ombré Leather. I bought Noir not too long ago and I am slightly disappointed. I recently smelt Neroli Portofino, and it blew my mind. I want to say it was a barbershop scent because those were the products used. So the shaving cream and after shave had those notes. Then was just associated with cleanliness and well groomed men?
From Tom Ford my favorites are Noir de Noir, that dark divine rose, Tuscan leather, beau du jour, and lavender extreme. Tobacco oud unfortunately got discontinued before I was ready to buy. Plum japonais is also a favorite and was I lucky to get the last 100 ml at a retailer before it got the chop.

Oh I'm with Grace 100%. I adore Plum Japonais. I'm so frustrated and genuinely disappointed by Tom Ford for discontinuing this magnificent fragrance. There are no dupes for it, no matter what people suggest I try. I'd even accept it in candle form, or as a limited edition run. How many signatures must I collect for Tom Ford/Lauder to consider bringing this one back in some form. Absolutely stunning fragrance. Incredibly dense but full of discernable layers and details in the character that really hold my interest for the duration that it's on my skin. I just love the vibe of it. I'm comin' for you Tom, dressed like some crazy Viking Bezerker ready to upturn your conference room chairs and tables until you capitulate and give me that glorious elixir. Interessting to hear that Micheal Jackson wore Black Orchid. this is glamour, for strong personalities, who don't have to worrie about opinions of others about them. Imagine M. Jackson wearing a crowd pleaser, like Sauvage, or such. what a dispointment that would be.
Her ratings and you see the fragrance journey here... I used to not like Oud Wood... back maybe 5-6 years ago....now I own a bottle of Oud Wood Intense... Love oud now... as long as the dry down is there and it "opens up" into more than just the harsh oud. It's interesting to see how people's noses... mature is a good word.

I do love the newer 2020 release of Beau de Jour, went from his private blend line down to his signature line but it's still a banger for me. Definitely a grown ass man fragrance and most definitely worth the buy IMHO! One TF frag that doesn't get talked about a lot that I think smells incredible is simply Tom Ford for Men Extreme. Such an underrated frag that no one ever talks about and I feel it's because some or maybe a lot of people just don't know about it. JC, not sure if you have ever smelled it but I've watched you for a long enough time to where I think you would love this one. Definitely get your nose on this one if you haven't already. I feel it would've made your top 10 list here if you have smelled it before but I have a feeling you haven't which might be why it's not on this list so maybe I just put you on game to it. Check it out brotha, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised no doubt about it! Also, I know you have smelled Tobacco Vanille and nothing goes better than a great tobacco and vanilla scent if done right and to me TF nailed this one. Not the best tobacco and vanilla scent that I've smelled but definitely in the top 5 for me which is obviously why it's one of TF's best selling frags as I'm sure you already know. One other one that grew on me and particularly if you like Lavender is Lavender Extreme. Again, if you like Lavender this is a must try but I will say at first I didn't really like it but it grew on me and now I wouldn't say I LOVE it but it's definitely one of the better Lavender frags out there. Anyways, just a few I thought I would mention and I'm sure you might've tried these and maybe not so if not check them out. I seriously doubt you won't hate any of them! Tuscan Leather may be the biggest scrubber I've ever tried. I blind bought a 10ml decant (I don't have store access to a wide range of frags). At the time I was thinking, I always liked the smell of my old leather coat, so this could be good. I haaaaaaaated it. Hate it. I've gone back to give it a chance every now and then, but nope. Spray it on, scrub it off 10 minutes later.
Try Ombre Leather. Ombre Leather 16 is no longer available, but it was ok There's a bunch of others that are like Tuscan Leather. My Tuscan Leather is back from 2013/2014, and has that ash note that doesn't work well in warmer seasons. Do you know if it's the raspberry note that bothers you? They use saffronal in a percent of the compositions. I think that's how you spell it. It can overtake the perfume.
@@JohmathanBSwift I'll try it again when I get home today and see what it was. I just remember it being very overpowering. It's definitely a polarizing scent. People love or hate it. I'm not sure what year the bottle was. Probably a 2019 or 2018 at the earliest.
@@jek4837 There's a number of Tuscan Leather's Montal has one Aoud Leather. Dueto Golden Boy. Didn't care for that one. Nishane Sude at Safran. That's ok. Their Saffron Cologne is heavy with the safronal. Rassai la yuaqawam is very sweet spicey and smokey. It projects like crazy. I gave my 15ml away. Trying to think. Try Montale's Aoud Leather. On me, it was a bit toned down, which is odd for a Montale. The suede perfumes that are somewhat like leather, don't have that saffonal as much, nor the raspberry.
@@jek4837 Well then it's not for you. There was a Tom Ford Ombre Leather 16 which had all of TF TS's masculine manners dialed back and had violet more moved to the front. Heeley's CUIR PLEINE FLEUR was like it some, but sadly both are no longer available. You can cross-search both of those, then find a boutique-like LuckyScent and order some samples.Speaking of samples, get on *Heeley's* emailing list and wait for the deals coming up. You'll be able to order a bunch of very good samples for next to nothing. Don't worry about the shipping from Europe with Heeley. Very affordable. Oh, get some samples from *History de Parfums* . The samples are good and won't cost you everything you own, *Etat Libre d'Orange* is another house you can get good samples for a very good price. *Imaginary Authors* has a special on samples once or twice a year. Get on their mailing list. I'll think of a few leathers for you to samples that aren't smokey. Seriously, get those samples.

@@philipphawk I own both. Where as BDJ has a little sweetness that adds to the barbershop shaving foam aromatic vibe, FdA goes into a darker, sharper, woodier direction. Reminds me of James Bond in a tuxedo.
I love Tom Ford a little too much, I have way too many of these. Plum Japonais is amazing, ombre leather is stunning, oud wood just blew me away the first time I smelled it. I could smell the freshness from Mandarino di Amalfi all dayyyyy, too bad it doesn't last too long as expected. Have yet to get to the point of enjoying Oud Minerale...may give it some more time.
Great video! Personally tried 3 Tom ford's and haven't liked them. Atleast from the samples I bought. I liked Noir extreme but not enough to justify a bottle and the longevity and projection was horrid. Tobacco Vanille smells like grandma to me, and Oud wood smells like urinal cakes or a bad public pool.

I was wondering, i am looking for a software or an app to kind of like list every fragrance and have a calendar where u point out thé fragrance of the day and see How Many Times u wear it ( and where u can list the note breakdown, the nose or every other detail). My dad has a book in which he lists every botte of wine and he writes down every observation Each time he opens up some wine. Told me i Should do the same but i cant find a way and i dont want to take a book to do it! Thought i should ask the handsome fragrance Guy who list have a tip!!

There’s a fragrance called Oud 24 hours which costs less than £20 and is a very good clone of Black Orchid. Almost absolutely identical. I had both for a while but actually kept the clone as it wasn’t as harsh with the florals as the real BO EDP, yet nails them and the truffle note brilliantly. Very hard to tell any difference at all.

It definitely has a strong personality. OW and OWI are actually nothing alike to my nose. OWI is a slightly animalic, woody and spicy scent. The original is a medicinal woody, sweet vanilla, and slightly spicy scent. They share almost nothing in common to me, it's strange!

Now, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver was the first fragrance that became ‘my scent’ I have since fallen in love with a lot of his other fragrances. Some are out of my price range. Although I’m saving. I love Ombré Leather. I bought Noir not too long ago and I am slightly disappointed. I recently smelt Neroli Portofino, and it blew my mind. It reminds me of leaving the barbershop feeling a million dollars! Anyway, keep up the good work. Your insightful reviews are go to viewing.

I want to say it was a barbershop scent because those were the products used. So the shaving cream and after shave had those notes. Then was just associated with cleanliness and well groomed men?
From Tom Ford my favorites are Noir de Noir, that dark divine rose, Tuscan leather, beau du jour, and lavender extreme. Tobacco oud unfortunately got discontinued before I was ready to buy. Plum japonais is also a favorite and was I lucky to get the last 100 ml at a retailer before it got the chop.

Oh I'm with Grace 100%. I adore Plum Japonais. I'm so frustrated and genuinely disappointed by Tom Ford for discontinuing this magnificent fragrance. There are no dupes for it, no matter what people suggest I try. I'd even accept it in candle form, or as a limited edition run. How many signatures must I collect for Tom Ford/Lauder to consider bringing this one back in some form. Absolutely stunning fragrance. Incredibly dense but full of discernable layers and details in the character that really hold my interest for the duration that it's on my skin. I just love the vibe of it. I'm comin' for you Tom, dressed like some crazy Viking Bezerker ready to upturn your conference room chairs and tables until you capitulate and give me that glorious elixir. Could you perchance present it in bottles as impressive as the glass Maurice Marinot-esque vessels that Agonist have for their exclusive collection? Thanks Tom! You're a real pal.

Her ratings and you see the fragrance journey here... I used to not like Oud Wood... back maybe 5-6 years ago....now I own a bottle of Oud Wood Intense... Love oud now... as long as the dry down is there and it "opens up" into more than just the harsh oud. It's interesting to see how people's noses... mature is a good word.

I do love the newer 2020 release of Beau de Jour, went from his private blend line down to his signature line but it's still a banger for me. Definitely a grown ass man fragrance and most definitely worth the buy IMHO! One TF frag that doesn't get talked about a lot that I think smells incredible is simply Tom Ford for Men Extreme. Such an underrated frag that no one ever talks about and I feel it's because some or maybe a lot of people just don't know about it. JC, not sure if you have ever smelled it but I've watched you for a long enough time to where I think you would love this one. Definitely get your nose on this one if you haven't already. I feel it would've made your top 10 list here if you have smelled it before but I have a feeling you haven't which might be why it's not on this list so maybe I just put you on game to it. Check it out brotha, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised no doubt about it! Also, I know you have smelled Tobacco Vanille and nothing goes better than a great tobacco and vanilla scent if done right and to me TF nailed this one. Not the best tobacco and vanilla scent that I've smelled but definitely in the top 5 for me which is obviously why it's one of TF's best selling frags as I'm sure you already know. One other one that grew on me and particularly if you like Lavender is Lavender Extreme. Again, if you like Lavender this is a must try but I will say at first I didn't really like it but it grew on me and now I wouldn't say I LOVE it but it's definitely one of the better Lavender frags out there. Anyways, just a few I thought I would mention and I'm sure you might've tried these and maybe not so if not check them out. I seriously doubt you won't hate any of them! Tuscan Leather may be the biggest scrubber I've ever tried. I blind bought a 10ml decant (I don't have store access to a wide range of frags). At the time I was thinking, I always liked the smell of my old leather coat, so this could be good. I haaaaaaaated it. Hate it. I've gone back to give it a chance every now and then, but nope. Spray it on, scrub it off 10 minutes later.
Try Ombre Leather. Ombre Leather 16 is no longer available, but it was ok
There's a bunch of others that are like Tuscan Leather.
My Tuscan Leather is back from 2013/2014, and has that ash note that doesn't work well
in warmer seasons.
Do you know if it's the raspberry note that bothers you?
They use saffronal in a percent of the compositions. I think that's how you spell it.
It can overtake the perfume.
@@JohmathanBSwift I'll try it again when I get home today and see what it was. I just remember it being very overpowering. It's definitely a polarizing scent. People love or hate it. I'm not sure what year the bottle was. Probably a 2019 or 2018 at the earliest.

Montal has one Aoud Leather. Dueto Golden Boy. Didn't care for that one.
Nishane Sude at Safran. That's ok. Their Saffron Cologne is heavy with the safronal.
Rassai la yuaqawam is very sweet spicey and smokey. It projects like crazy.
I gave my 15ml away.
Trying to think. Try Montale's Aoud Leather. On me, it was a bit toned down,
which is odd for a Montale.
The suede perfumes that are somewhat like leather, don't have that saffonal as much,
nor the raspberry.

Justin, have you tried their other fougeres? I find Fougere D'Argeant to be really nice.
But it's way more expensive than for example Beau de Jour, that makes it a no brainer imo.

@@philipphawk I own both. Where as BDJ has a little sweetness that adds to the barbershop shaving foam aromatic vibe, FdA goes into a darker, sharper, woodier direction. Reminds me of James Bond in a tuxedo.

I love Tom Ford a little too much, I have way too many of these. Plum Japonais is amazing, ombre leather is stunning, oud wood just blew me away the first time I smelled it. I could smell the freshness from Mandarino di Amalfi all dayyyyy, too bad it doesn't last too long as expected. Have yet to get to the point of enjoying Oud Minerale...may give it some more time.
I hope Oud Minerale grows on you!

Great video! Personally tried 3 Tom ford's and haven't liked them. Atleast from the samples I bought. I liked Noir extreme but not enough to justify a bottle and the longevity and projection was horrid. Tobacco Vanille smells like grandma to me, and Oud wood smells like urinal cakes or a bad public pool.
Sounds like TF is not for you, at least at this point in time!

I was wondering, i am looking for a software or an app to kind of like list every fragrance and have a calendar where u point out thé fragrance of the day and see How Many Times u wear it ( and where u can list the note breakdown, the nose or every other detail). My dad has a book in which he lists every botte of wine and he writes down every observation Each time he opens up some wine. Told me i Should do the same but i cant find a way and i dont want to take a book to do it! Thought i should ask the handsome fragrance Guy who list have a tip!!

There’s a fragrance called Oud 24 hours which costs less than £20 and is a very good clone of Black Orchid. Almost absolutely identical. I had both for a while but actually kept the clone as it wasn’t as harsh with the florals as the real BO EDP, yet nails them and the truffle note brilliantly. Very hard to tell any difference at all.
