Party city has a bloody cesar style mask too, not nearly as much blood as 5-below nor is it very accurate but would make a cool conversion

I had the exact same idea but not with these masks, with a completely blank mask that even needs to be cut. You definitely gave me the motivation to make it!
Love the conversion, my friend. That turned out to be a heck of a sweet replica for around a five dollar bill. I would definitely love to see you do more of these. I couldn't pull that stuff off because my hands are about as stable as John Wayne Gayce, which really makes me appreciate folks like you who can.

I just bought two of the bloody Iowas from five below and I kept one normal and repainted the other and it’s a really cool contrast between them. I also couldn’t find the Testors paints in my area so I just used nail polish, pretty cheap and easy.
Reminds me of when I took an Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr freeze mask and sewed a ski mask to it with Christmas light wire and painted a jim root inspired paint job on it, I also made it look like the mouth was sewed up with the wire. sad thing is I have no idea what happened to it

Nice! I had the same idea and threw a picture on the house of masks Facebook page. That mask is a great template for a first attempt for someone like me with no artistic skills.
I bought up a few of these, and I'm making doubles of my collection. Some of the ones I did last year have different size eye holes.
So for the sake of consistency, I'm redoing all of them. It's really fun, and great for anyone out there in a budget, like myself.
Definitely wanna see you do more of these ! It's so fun and inexpensive! I bet others would appreciate seeing you make other versions. 💛
I picked up a few blanks from Spirit Halloween yesterday to make a few Joey masks till I can afford an accurate replacement

How would you tweak the bloody one or would you leave it the same? I thought those masks reminded me of Joey's also. I suck at being an artist but these are great ideas and yeah you should do the other mask.

My 5 Below has blank Cesar style masks that look extremely similar for only 1$. I would have stocked up for customs, but I mostly focus on creature and animal like masks and don't do much with human like ones.

I'm currently doing my first conversion (Although I'm practicing on a random white mask before hand, not on an 83 cesar re-cast) I'm doing the bloody IOWA and its so much fun. I'm not an artist nor do I have skill but its fun as hell so yeah any vids like this one are always enjoyable and interesting.
I'd love to see another Joey conversion. I would like to see more cheap mask conversions. Like with the Dollar General clown

My dude, have you ever thought of welding? You have very steady hands. I used to paint and draw ALOT but my trade changed me into a fabricator. You have the hands of a maker already. Im 36. Just had a kid. You have the world at your hands man! You could create some INSANE masks/armor that would be your own. Love the mask collection but you have more potential than you know my dude...jus sayin..steady hands make masterpieces...think about it

This is super cool because i just got a cheap plain white mask and drew on it like said and it turned out super fricking cool because hell no I'm not going to use my joey jordinson mask that he signed on the inside before he died , because Halloween is the horror fest of getting wasted and i don't want to have my mask broken, this is super cool and helped me out so much!

Doing a replica based off of another replica is like the telephone game, and sure fire way for accurate details to get lost.
