I have had a very good experience propagating zz plant. I usually keep the cutting in a glass bottle filled with water near a west facing window under indirect sunlight. It works really well in Bangalore. I have successfully propagated 3 cuttings this way already. Also, to my surprise during lockdown when my house was locked for 3 months (with no one to look at my plants) most of my indoor plants did not survive (as expected), but all my 7 zz plants and 5 potted snake plants survived. Also 1 zz that I was propagating in glass bottle survived (and had developed a bulb like root) Propagating zz requires a lot of patience but it is worth the try. I feel it is a forgiving plant just like snake plant.

Thank you for sharing everything about gardening. I had started my balcony gardening seeing you. My balcony looks so green now. Few days back I broke a stem of the zz plant by mistake and the stem was very new and kind of baby. I had put that in water and after 30 days root came out, I have potted it and it’s doing very well. ❤️

I started my zz plant through the trimmings I kept in water and they are doing well. I had kept it in water till the roots had grown pretty well. This zz plant is a favourite in my house.

Same happened with me. Nothing seems to working so I repotted in new soil for second time. I noticed that nothing was showing growth above shoot while roots had grown

You must be over watering jade plant... I have done that.. plz water it every 3 day or when soil is dry completely... It will be fine soon.. and save it from direct sun light specialy afternoon sun

Fantastic vedio with useful info very nicely explained. My ZZ plant is not growing well. In my absence it grew well. So i came to know i may be over watwring. But even though i have corrected my mistake. The plant is still not cpme put with a new leaf yet.
I always love ur voice. I ordered a Z Z plant from online, n i got it just day before yesterday,(at Kolkata). But the condition of the plant is not so good. Some leaves are drowning and turned yellow to brown. They sent this plant to me in a plastic pot with only cocopeat, no any soil are there, and the hole of that pot was blocked with tharmocol cube. 😔 The roots are looking over watered. I immediately repotted it with some mixed soil n cocopeat. And now have to hope for a good health of my most wanted plant. Thank u so much for in details information. 💖💖💖

Hi Ekta, i need your help. I bought a zz plant from ugaoo recently. But during transportation the the plant came loose from the soil. When I opened the package the soil was everywhere inside the box and the plant was out of the pot. It had yellowing leaves too. I repotted it and watered it . I next watered it after 8 days. Its leaves are still yellowing . Its been 10 days since i last watered it. I live in kolkata. Its humid and hot here. What should i do?

To curry leaves add peals of banana. After cutting into small pieces that will help to grow its a good fertilizer

I had same experience with foxtail fern..Alternatively I changed its place from shady and sunlight (6 am -10am) and now its doing well

Water less that will help , else the leave will come out from the middle,
Also try giving filtered water. Spider plant is sensitive to flouride toxicity.
