Just some further explanation as for why the torrential rainstorm huntress "works": - While one may think it would be better to reduce mana drain from shooting in order to keep the ability active for as long as possible, the mana drain per second and fact that shooting triggers the rain to fall makes this unviable. Instead, you want to shoot as much as possible to increase damage and reduce the mana drained from time passing. - Makakoyumi is unintuitively the best bow to use with rain maker, because although the main shot has a slow rate of fire, its secondary shot (the one with low range and low armor-piercing damage) has the highest rate of fire out of all of the bows, and both shots trigger rain to fall.
This video was great, but I think the newly buffed Umi ring would be even better than gemstone. You lose out on some of the mana reduction (20% vs 30%) but the spirit buffs + their dps more than makes up for it, while offering some much needed HP.
I did consider Kagenohikari for this build and yea! It could work as a viable choice for this build, the ring is only 10% though for mama reduction, not 20%. I did try cover all bases for this video but I did forget to bring up Kagenohikari, sorry! I’m glad you enjoyed the video regardless :)
@@aphrow The build WOULDN'T work well with kagenohikari becauses flames ONLY spawn on ability use, so you'd get 1 flame per use of rain maker which is extremely negligible, the only way to get more would be to instead spam use a different trap to generate flames, which would mean you had no mana for rain maker to drain, Defeating the point of what rain maker is trying to do
@@aphrow Beaten by T14 T13 Engraved Leaf Bow Void Bow Clockwork Repeater and Umi bow by a lot and even arguably beaten by regular Leaf Bow. That's when you're not under the dex penalty at all ever. It's still got Leaf Bow DPS. And I get that Leaf Bow is a genetic freak of a mid-game item that's been top 1 in slot before but still... It's 2024 you can't be losing to regular leaf bow if you drop from a top 3 difficulty dungeon in the game. When it's got the dex penalty it loses to Hama Yumi Thousand Shot Doom Bow T12 bow and is EVEN WITH CORAL BOW. The thing's meant to be a CBow upgrade for the modern era and it ends up just being a CBow but sometimes you have 10 dex. I really desperately want Warmonger buffed because it looks so cool and the twin shots are so fun and cool and it's just so, so disappointingly bad to think that while it's under the dex penalty there's a legitimate argument for it being bottom 1 UT bow in the game (other than the twig bow thing from Forest Maze but I can't get that because I can't ever navigate that dungeon)

There aren’t many factors that can make (x) weapon good in this situation and (y) weapon good in a different one.. because damage is be-all-end-all of all viability. I have a video in the works (probably in like 6 months lol) about how we can shake up the DPS meta through different means, I hope maybe you’ll watch that and get a deeper understanding of my logic there :) But yeah! Warmonger underwhelming but still viable
