I loved 'A Scarf For Percy' growing up and his crash theme always stuck with me as one of my favorite compositions from the classic era. Great work Ty! Fantastic update with this one.
Percy was still being cheeky. His driver always shut off steam, just outside the station. Percy wanted to surprise the coaches by coming in as quietly as he could, but the porters didn’t hear him either! Boxes and bags burst everywhere! “Oh!” Groaned Percy.
Sticky streams of jam trickled down Percy's face; a top hat hung on his lamp iron. Worst of all, a pair of trousers coiled lovingly round his funnel. Everyone was very angry. The Fat Controller seized the top hat. *"Mine!"* he said *"Percy, look at this!."*
"Yes sir... I am sir..." "My best trousers too!" "Yes sir... Please sir..." "We must pay the passengers for their spoiled clothes! And my trousers are ruined! I hope this will teach you not to play tricks with the coaches!"
I always love listening to Percy's crash theme. It makes me think that something is going to happen at some point. When it does happen, it is always worth a laugh. I love Percy's crash with the fruit train from Series 3 😆. "Percy. You are not to blame for the points failure, but I do not run a jam factory!"
I dont know why but i always loved how humorus moments would have sometimes either really creppy or intense music like the ghost whistle just having that really dreadful drone and the whole horror violins
Ngl Scarf and Fruitful Day were always very memorable slice of life episodes to me as a kid and they are pretty much the bookends of season 3 besides Christmas adventure at the end. Also these two stories are MILES better than their original versions
He didn't see that the switch had failed, and he had been diverted into a siding. "Look out Percy!" shouted his driver, and applied the brakes, but it was too late!
I wanted to hear a Full Series 3 Percy theme based off this similar how Mavis M. did Percy's Series 1 Theme in a Series 5 style using his Series 5 danger theme as a basis
(Baggage and clothes fall on Percy. Sticky jam falls on Percy, STH, the passengers, and a freight car) Seriously, they should’ve kept the shot of the jam falling the freight car.
This would be the perfect tune for the Spongebob episode "Plankton" where that one eyed villain manipulates Spongebob into trying to steal a krabby patty before getting egg on his face
Any chance you could change the picture? Percy's impact face is one that is associated with many moments that freaked me out as a kid (nearly getting run over by Gordon, crashing into the lime cart, the jump cut when treacle was dropped on his head, I could go on), and seeing it especially covered in jam is making me feel borderline-nauseated.
Yes! Percy and James's faces are by far the most terrifying when they do those sharp cuts to their shocked faces close up, especially when it is accommodated by an unpleasant noise! "PEEEP PEEP!, he whistled in horror.", "EEEEEEK!", whistled James, etc.
Are you talking about Percy's shut eyes face mask. I get what you're saying. I kinda did the same for me at that age. For me, maybe it was because of the triangular design of Percy's mouth. And frankly, nobody can make that shape on the mouth unless you pinch your lower lip, but Percy was able to do that without fingers. You get me?
@@templar_1138 Um... yes. 🤨 Though, I gotta hand it to them for both "Woolly Bear" and "A Scarf for Percy," how those had that Percy's expressions changing from one to the next in two different shots like Percy was really changing faces on his own, proving impressive visual effects. They did the same for Gordon in "Thomas and Gordon," and "A Better View for Gordon," and I believe they attempted to do the same for Henry in "Busy Going Backwards," only for that one not to work out. Reason why for that one is beyond me.
As a child I was always afraid of the two episodes where Percy would get covered in food because of his clenched face and the other episodes where the camera was directly facing at his clenched face. Why? I don't know, maybe because he looked inbred with that face or something. I'd probably would have been less scared if it if the model makers sculpted him clenching his teeth on the face mask instead of his open mouth in a triangular shape

"Got yourself in a bit of a jam eh James??? A STICKY SITUATION???" great upload 👍
And not very reliable either. I am surprised you let it happen James. NOTHING should stop us engines.
@@Dalek44That’s enough Percy. Can you push these trucks?
Of course I can. There's no time to lose. James has done too much of that already.
Off we go. I'll have to go fast to get there on time. These big engines are So unreliable.
What you might called a sticky situation.

Amazing work as always. Impressed indeed. Impressed.

Always loved Percy's Danger theme. This version is an improvement over the Season 2 one.
the theme is really good and I really love that part when mr. Percy got cover in jam and got a scarf on his funnel that was so funny XD

Fantastic work here!
Percy gave them such a fright and boxes and bags bursted everywhere.
Even if Percy wasn’t watching where he was going, aren’t the porters also to blame?
@@ciarangleeson2880 Sir Topham Hatt might've went to them after. It was just off-screen.

This is the closest to Percy’s theme in series 3 in this arrangement

More good remakes. I noticed you referred the first one by its Railway Series title instead of the television series episode title.

Poor Percy him getting crashed into something every day..
I don't know why Sir Topham Hatt doesn't either scrap him or make him useful at last like Smudger
