Yes… exactly what was needed. Thank you!!
I've been hoping you would come out with a tire lift assist device for the 40" tires. I have an Ultra Swing. Unfortunately, this unit will cover the three verticle holes in the center of the US that my removable for travel DIY tire hoist solution relies on. I like this lot, but I want the full enchilada!
The description says that it fits with upto 40" tires, but is not true. I have 295/70 R17s and because the spare tire sits on an angle, the Sidekick doesn't fit.
I’ve been waiting for this my whole life
That would make you about 3.5 years old, and therefore our youngest customer 😂 Stoked your stoked! 🤙🍻🤙
Can a 5 lb propane be mounted on the molle side of this side hack?
I would like to mount the rotopax on the rig side and propane on the tire side of the carrier.
Yes, we've done it, we're working to create a plug-n-play hardware kit, but yes, it can be done.
@@rigdsupply6945 awesome! I’ve already place my order for this set up. I look forward for the side hack and this hardware
@@rigdsupply6945 How's the hardware kit coming along for the propane tank mounting brackets?
Nice dark lighting makes it very hard to see your product. But I’m old and can’t see anything in the dark anymore. Lol
Will the side hack get in the way of a Gobi/Baja ladder on the 4runner?
We just did a fit check and Gobi ladders still clear with a Rotopax mounted to the SideHack 👍
On a normal truck is there enough room for the propane mount/bottle to be on the truck bed side of the side hack?
Separate question. If I use the rotopax mount can I stack 2 2.5gallon pax?
On a full-size truck it really still depends on how much of a bulge the tailgate has. Same answer for Rotopax, it's very truck-specific. What rig do you have?
@@adamprater9729 The Bison might be bale to get 2 2.5 Rotopax, We haven't tried ourselves yet, but keep in mind that even if it's too close for comfort, we also have a front-side propane mount adapter in the works.
Can you still extend the cutting board with the rotopack 2-gallon on the sidehack...
The Silent Hill lighting makes it difficult for ol timer to 👀
Will this close correctly with a propane tank if you have a GOBI Ladder?
With a ladder mounted the SideHack with a propane will most likely hit. We've tested an outward mounted propane on the SideHack and it works. We're working on a hardware kit to make it easier for you to accomplish this combo.
Very cool idea! Not sure I'll be able to make it work with a Wescott designs ladder on my 5th gen 4runner.
Yea, ladders do change clearance, on our 5th Gen 4Runner we always had a Rotopax mounted to the ladder which was another good solution. If no Rotopax was mounted but you wanted accessories mounted on the front of the SideHack I believe it would clear.
I ordered one. I also have the westcott designs ladder. I want to be able to mount my propane tank on it. I will let you know how it goes.
I have a NashFab ladder that I will install on my GX 460 on the left side, so I do't know if the SideHack will clear it if I have the UltraSwing in the middle/other side....anybody here who has done it?
Hey Ed, we haven't checked that exact ladder, but in most cases, the Sidehack would clear without mounting a Rotopax to the back if you still wanted to utilize the front Molle section of the SideHack. The cool thing about ladders is most have a way to mount Rotopax to them. That's how we always carried Rotopax on our 5th Gen 4Runner.
Thanks for this. What type of shovel is that?
This is a standard folding military-style shovel. You can Google search and find them all over the place. I believe this one was purchased from our local Army/Navy Surplus store.
This a great concept, but the back up camera is lost, man the camera is a must when backing up!
We have backup camera relocation kits for most vehicles. If not specifically listed on our website shoot an email to support@rigdsupply.com and we can provide additional resources for relocating your camera. 📸
@@robertnevarez7599 You are very welcome! Let us know how else we can help
How close to the vehicle does it sit? Want to see if it will work with my gobi ladder there
Would this work on a 4Runner with a Gobi ladder?
Yes, but note the clearance of the SideHack with fuel will be very tight with the Gobi ladder.
RIP too many people have ladders that will interfere with this
I don't even need this yet I need it
Good stuff, guys! Now, hopefully some moron doesn't decide to cook on the table when they have a fuel container next to it. Can you do an install video, please?
Yes, that would be very unfortunate 😳🔥 We will definitely be making an install video.
@@Atlanta_Cyclist I use my table for cooking and I understand your point of view. I installed a long range America Auxiliary tank in my 4Runner, so no need for me to use this for fuel storage. I want to be able to carry extra water on the Rigd swingout, specially for cooking and cleaning. Any gear I can get out of the back of the Runner and secure on the outside of the vehicle is a win for me.
@@Atlanta_Cyclist It does get dirty, muddy and dusty; but never to the point where I cannot prepare food. Just a little extra cleaning on the table and I am golden.
@@Atlanta_Cyclist I use it more for filling water bottles before a ride, throwing my helmet and gloves down on it, or changing a diaper 🤷♂️
Wondering if it will work with a Gobi latter on a 5th gen 4runner? I've been waiting for this to come back out. TY!
All the cool stuff...
I like the propane idea
