@@hennybutabi okay too bad. I would really love if you had the time to make a basic tutorial on how to connect a hubmotor to a motor controller. I'm a newbie but I am really interested in learning this stuff, it's so cool. Just can't seem to find any tutorials on here. As I understand, i need the following to make an electric scooter run. Battery, motor controller, hubmotor and a throttle. Do I miss something. And if you don't have the time to make a video, can you recommend a website where I can learn ? Where did you learn ? :) THank you.
Hello. In short you will need 1 controller per motor. There are plenty of videos on youtube on how to wire them, its not that hard. Check out tchangly21 channel, plenty of info there, however all is in french. I learned through google and youtube :)
This is fantastic! I won't have the time to build my own frame but would def like to try to repurpose a scooter and add some hoverboard motors. Hoverboards die all the time and people sell them for dirt cheap here in the states.
Because it certainly did not look like it has only a top speed of 17 klm or whatever you stated especially wen you kikd it in there rite before the bridge , GEEZ man it's killer just great bro !! Ya I love that color also !!
Wow another great build 👍.. If I had your engineering knowledge I would love to see a love child between my Goped petrol scooter from the early 2000s and my Kaabo wolf king.
Very cool. Seems overbuilt, but there's nothing wrong with that of course. I'm looking at making something like this that's sort of a feet-forward motorcycle: Long wheelbase, seat, lots of power, suspension, fairings, etc.
With those massive wheels you really don’t need shocks!! How many miles of range are you getting?? Great video and great design I’m going to subscribe to watch your next build!! Maybe larger motors on the next one!!!
Put a removable support with a nice seat and you will have something. This may appeal to a lot of folks who can't stand up all the time and are looking for a quality scooter.
@@hennybutabi aah dat hoor ik graag! Maakt het nog uit welk type hooverboard? Vind dit wel een leuk ding om er mijn variant van te maken! Doe anders ff dm op instagram!
Nice job, great vid, like the design 👍 I made one as well not quite as nice as yours but next one I might have to put a little more effort into to match yours, was thinking of using 4 motors as well 😁
Great job! What's it's weight? Pretty hefty with all that steel tube I imagine. Would be nice if in the next video, you confirm your creative brain IS worth protecting by putting a full face helmet on!!
I've been building my own scooter like yours. I got a 1000 watt brushless motor on it. But man all the welding I've done it is heavy. Not sure if you'll respond or not but how much does yours weigh? Mines not done yet but almost...but it's already 53 lbs . Is yours heavy like that too?
Mine is around 35kg which is 77lbs. But I'm not a heavy guy so it does not matter so much. And based on my experience with my other builds, a scooter drives better when it's heavier. Good luck with yours. Check out the other electric scooters I built on my channel.
Great project! I’m looking into using those motor controllers for a go-kart project, i’m wondering what the top speed is and how good the torque is at starting speed. Thanks
I think this setup is too weak for a gokart. Topspeed is around 35km/h. Torque at starting speed is ok for a scooter is a heavy gokart I think it will be dissapointing
@@hennybutabi i will use two motors per wheel in the back and two more motors in the front, which is 6 motors in total and enough power for me. I already managed to put two motors together inside a go kart tire for a diy onewheel project. Great Build!! Ive really been thinking about building my own scooter. I want to build something fast that i can race. what do you suggest for getting something built that can go over 100 MPH .I NEED SPPED!
There are really many ways a man can die. Are you sure you want to kill yourself by riding a scooter? Going 100mph/160kmh while being on a wheelbase length of only 1 meter and being driven by such small diameter wheels (i must also mention the high center of mass) is a fatal accident waiting to happen!
@@mohamedhesham9849 it's possible if you know what you are doing. you're goiong to die for sure, but it's kinda easy to go 100mph with a scooter.currently Kaabo's fastest one goes 70mph
Amazing build. I was wondering how did you use 48v controllers with 36 volt motors. Shouldn't it be the same? Would it be as fast if I use 36v controllers with the hoverboard motors.
I understand that the hoverboard motor is mounted to the whee face. But how are you attaching the axle to the wheel on the opposite side. These are great builds btw.
I drill a hole in the center of the outer shell of the motor. Then I weld a threaded rod to the motor shaft. The shell goes over this shaft through the wheel and attaches to the opposite side of the fork. Thanks for watching👍
This great product could be a lot better if mud-guards, as well as turn indicators, are attached. That's all I'm thinking, please don't take it too seriously.

Using this scooter for short commutes is the way to go, as it makes it really fun. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM Both the levels of speed it allows you to use are very fun, though 20mph can get pretty scary on bad roads. It makes a cool electric sound as it is accelerating. The battery life is also pretty impressive, as I can go anywhere around me within a ~10 mile radius and back home with a full charge. I expected the tires to feel somewhat like a toy, but it is legit, and has pretty good grip on surfaces. Braking on this scooter is also really fun, since you can even do a little drifting if you break hard. The wheels on the scooter are definitely very high quality, as they are wide and well sized. The entire scooter is pretty high quality too. I have fallen on it a couple times because I was being a little reckless, and the scooter still works perfectly fine, with some minor scratches on the sides. I found the brake lights to be very cool as well, since they flash when you brake.
