I LOVE THIS SERMON!!!!!!! RIGHT ON TIME! IM ABOUT TO EXPLODE WITH THANKFULNESS AND AMAZEMENT AT THE CLARITY AND BEAUTY OF GOD’S WORD. THANK YOU JESUS 🙌
I enjoyed this teaching very much! The framework is such an important one for not only understanding the entire scriptures in their proper hermeneutical context, but also in it's eschatological completeness. I appreciated the way the speaker set up the proper, OT context as being 2 problems: one being our separation from Yahweh and the other as our separation from fellowship with each other. The proper framework or definitions for biblical words is equally important for our understanding. In the story of the garden, "death" is not a physical death, but a "spiritual death". They died spiritually the day they ate of sin. If Yahweh, God, is life, then separation from him is necessarily "death". "You WERE DEAD in your trespasses" was spoken to physically living human beings in the first century - to those "separated" or dead from Yahweh even though they were trying to follow him and being religious. Great point in this teaching that it is His actions and not our righteousness. The garden represented union with, relationship with or being "echad" (one with Yahweh). Before Yeshua ie. Jesus all were under the first death separation of the garden sin. All who had/have faith in Christ do not suffer the 2nd death...will never be separated from him. There is no more death or judgment for those in Christ's kingdom. I would encourage all of faith to examine and study very carefully every detail of The Lord's 7 Feasts, which are not the Jewish feasts, but the Lord's and a pattern for the "completed works" of the Messiah Yeshua. Yes! Completed Works!!! Hallelujah! The proper hermeneutical context is to recognize the New Testament, first century, "audience relevance". The speaker in this video gave a wonderful example of our ego centric perspectives. Believers should not read the new testament as if it is their letter that they are reading. While one may relate to and find personal meaning in a work of art that does not make it their property. While reading the New Testament one should also take special note of the over 101 time statements found in the New Testament. C.S. Lewis's "trilema" of Liar, Lord or Lunatic can be reconciled within only one eschatological hermeneutic. To do so, one must remove the scales of flesh from the eyes long enough to realize that "All the law and the prophets" were fulfilled in the first century and that Yeshua came back just as he and his apostles promised, in HIS generation, on the same "clouds of glory" that the Father had always come on (Egypt, Edom, Assyria, Babylon) in the 70 AD judgment of old covenant Israel - as prophesied by Moses in Deuteronomy 32. The Mosaic Law did not end at the cross, but within the 1st century, for some biblically poignant and simple reasons. ..the 7 feast day works of the Messiah were not finished until after the judgment of Israel was completed. All the prophesies were not yet fufilled in 30 AD and you cannot marry a new bride unless the first is deceased. Father was faithful to his words, law and prophets! You cannot make a new covenant or contract until the old one is destroyed- which any attorney can tell you. The Messiah's revealing of the feast of Yom Kippur did not happen until the sacrifices were completed: the one goat's death during Jerusalem's war destruction and the other goat's death when they went "wandering in the desert of the world" separated from Yahweh. Both were goats (not lambs) because those Israelite/Jews had not accepted the passover blood sacrificial payment of their kinsman redeemer Yeshua at the cross (or during the 40 yr., second exodus tribulation period after the cross between 30AD to 70AD). Either they were given a scarlet thread of shame to wear when they were shipped out by the conquerors in 70 AD into slavery and out of the land or they died in the war. Believers, through Abrahamic faith, are now, this day Tabernacling, at Sukkot, in the New, Eternal, Everlasting Kingdom. We are the living stones, the kingdom and land "made without hands". Only if you have better "spiritual eyes" than Nicodemus will you know The Good News and not the bad news of a hope deferred that makes the heart sick. He is tabernacling in your heart and has written his will on your heart (Jeremiah 31). We are not observing the old covenant 7th day Sabbath that was completed but are now living in the eighth day of Shemini Atzeret or "better covenant" eternal Sabbath of perpetual union with Yahweh. All the law and prophets have been fulfilled in the works of Christ, our Messiah. Good News...good journey!🙏
Although you made several good points, I too think of Genesis/Eden & the complex brevity amidst the 1st chapter~ but even though I knew there was a “reason” satan came to the Woman/Eve 1st~I never realized She was overcome and then sinned whilst Adam just sinned 😉good point pastor and no I’m not a feminist 😬
" She was overcome and then sinned " When viewed in relation to the final 14 words of Genesis 3 : 16 ..... and particularly the last 6 words , which absolutely destroys the feminist ideology of this world ... yet it was spoken , decreed and ordained by God .
xxxchurch100 hmmmmm I sense you are an avid reader of the Bible and perhaps superseding my general thought. I was simply pointing out that as it is written ; I wondered why the serpent appears to eve and not both of them. Because Genesis is so brief I think every sentence is rich with reason. When David pointed out that Eve was overcome and then sinned, it made me think she was more intricate and had this experience with Satan because Satan knew if he was able to deceive Eve then assuredly Adam would follow suit. I should have left out the feminist comment. I think it was too distracting to my original thought. It had never crossed my mind until I listened to this sermon that Eve needed “more” persuading “she was enticed and then sinned” and Adam just sinned. So in my humble opinion, it took a bigger flame to burn Her than it did Adam. In no way do I think a man is less than (besides maybe in the emotional mood swing department) but I am fascinated by the origin of sin and these two legendary beings in relation to God and Satan. My mother taught me not to get hung up on details for amusement sake so I know this isn’t something that will shake my foundation. Just a thought. Thank you for commenting on my thoughts. And welcome any more.
David - you're so close! Abraham says to Isaac that "God will provide HIMSELF a lamb for a sacrifice!" God provides HIMSELF as the sacrificial lamb - THATs the whole point of the journey of Abraham and Isaac up Mount Moriah.

Great sermon and God is still fulfilling His promises. Just missed the opening and closing prayer.
