    In this video I am going to show you how to make a Bladeless fan at home.
    This bladeless fan is powered by a 12v adapter and is is very useful for those having kid around them.
    This DIY bladeless fan is made out of commonly available hardware such as a bunch of PVC pipes, a 12v DC computer fan and a 12v adapter.
    This fan have a speed control option so you can regulate the amount of air coming out of the fan. This is made possible by using a PWM speed control circuit that I have built on a printed circuit board that are ordered from JLCPCB.
    They are offering very low prices and high quality PCBs so visit their website and get an instant quote.
    For more information and details such as dimensions part lists schematic and gerber file please visit my Instructables blog.
    Moreover I am also giving away the remaining PCBs to five lucky winners. So subscribe,share and like this video and drop a comment below about what you want to see as our next DIY project.
    Regards.

    It's refreshing to see people who are capable and talented in today's world! America was like that back in the 40's to 80's, now people just buy junk and throw it away when it breaks. There are still a few of us left thankfully. Great work, thanks for sharing.

    I can do this! It's been 30 years since I studied electronics but I'm excited about this fan project because it's safe for children and pets. The only change I'd like is a "kill switch" in case of accidental tip-over. Please consider designing a remote-controlled pet toy. I have a very active beagle who loves to chase things! I imagine a ball with multiple 'bumps' that'll wander around the room in a random pattern, maybe with a speed control. Thanks

    • @PlumGurly
      @PlumGurly 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh, that is easy. Get a mercury switch and wire it in series with the power supply. On the cheap, you could just use a glue gun and glue it at the required angle inside the base. Otherwise, rig up a collar for the tilt switch.
      But even if you tip it over, what is the harm? There are no exposed moving parts. I think a change I'd make is to add an elbow to the intake hole. That makes it harder to stick things in there. It is just a standard computer fan inside some PVC and some unnecessary driver circuitry to control the speed.

    11:41 Dude, I'll give you a diamond tip that's worth more than gold, this cooler can be controlled by PWM without applying it to the power input wires, just connect the output of the 555 timer (which in your case connects to the mosfet gate ) on the blue wire that the cooler's internal motor driver controls the speed. As an additional I should mention that certain coolers do not change their speed by changing the voltage to the minimum operating voltage (what I have is 48v it stays at 10500 rpm turning on any voltage from 36v to 75v)

    • @WolferAlpha
      @WolferAlpha ปีที่แล้ว

      And one more thing I was almost forgetting, there are fans that don't like to connect the blue and yellow wires together since the sensor wire provides a signal that can be interpreted by the driver and mess up the operation (mine does that too)

    One more quick Question! I notice allot of DIYers use the same type of glue in the same type of Bottle(looks like an Eyedropper with a spout). May I ask what is in the bottle. Can't it be superglue? Might be why I have so many issues gluing plexiglass, I use the wrong glue.---Any chance you will be doing a tab welder?

    • @DIYKingSaM
      @DIYKingSaM  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      njfulwider5 yes its super glue. The key to strong joint using super glue is to make sure both surfaces are rough and clean if not then use sandpaper to make them rough. Moreover make sure your super glue is from fresh stock.
      Yes I will be making a video for DIY tab welder soon.

    • @njfulwider5
      @njfulwider5 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My joints are strong, I just always have issues with cloudiness. It seems after the glue has set, I get a small cloud. I have used all types of superglue. I didn't think super glue would work in a container like the one you use? I also use Gorilla super glue. I saw in another video, where someone said to use methylene chloride or acetone. I thought maybe you used something like this because the glue you used looks kinda watery. I have even cleared up my cuts with a hot air gun, so they look smooth.
      I did just recently purchase a 2 part glue for plexiglass. You spread one part on one side, and then the other on the side, you join it too. The only problem with this, you have one shot. Once the 2 parts touch they are solid. So no room for error. (have not tried this yet?)
      You should check out my Google+ page when you get a chance. I have a few welders I have built. My last one has 3 adjustable controls(speed of plus, power of pulse and amp control), and no armature, just cable electroid. I have 3 others, I built with armatures. One I build with very minimal parts(works the best)..LOL
      Check out my Google+ or Twitter...I have tons of other DIY projects there also you might like or take on and make better(I am a newbie"6 months"). I really enjoy your videos!

      Oh, but this is a fan with blades....they are just hidden. I know of no good other way to make air but with blades. It just uses a lousy PC fan, a 12 volt transformer, and some unnecessary driver circuitry to control the speed.

      This kind of fan is commonly know as blameless fan as the blades are not exposed and definitely it occupies a high speed fan inside its enclosure.
