Engines of Amtrak - Bombardier Alstom HHP-8

Amtrak's HHP-8 was the result of a joint engineering project between Bombardier and Alstom as EMD's ol' reliable, AEM-7, was going into the shops for conversion into AC power. However, the HHP-8 wasn't all that it seemed to be once out on the rails... On this edition of Engines of Amtrak I discuss this shortlived but powerful dual cab electric locomotive.
