Well done, but in my opinion there's no one singing this song better than Thomas Borchert. He just...lives that role. Nevertheless Mark has an unique voice and he could sing anything and it'd sound amazing.
Thomas has a resonance that gives the song it's signature melancholy twinge but I really love the extra seductive quality that Mark injects but then again, just look at the man, he can't help himself .
@@AmadeoSalieri Máté began to have voice problems in 2011 when he performed in Japan. His doctor advised him to rest for two months. Máté didn't listen and performed 80 shows over the next months. From 2011 until 2015, the voice problems affected his speaking voice but not his singing voice. That is why he always thought he was fine. In 2016, when he was touring with the "Elisabeth" musical in Germany, he completely lost his voice. He wasn't even able to greet people or say a single word. He was unable to work, unable to do anything and he was on tour and stranded in Hamburg. He stayed in Hamburg (he has friends and colleagues there) and he started to paint. Through that, he met a new friend who offered him work. Máté works in building/estate maintenance/ apartment rentals and has studied Office Management. His voice is better, thanks to a lot of treatment, and he's back on stage from time to time. He did a christmas show in Japan in 2023 and, last weekend, he performed in Vienna at a social event.
