Every busy night when I shucked oysters, I'd get a whole sufle cup full of baby soft shell crabs that wound up inside. We'd feed em to the fish in our restaurant tanks. I even had a few customers that requested to... leave them... on the open oyster so they could eat em. Look, I'm all for soft shell crabs, but the thought of eating them alive always freaked me out

Octopi are so smart and actually can communicate with humans, on many levels. There was a short on TH-cam that presented an octopus that reacted to his owners presence and extended it's arm to greet him.

I went "awwwh!" out loud when the octopus pounced. I got the exact same emotion I do watching kittens play with toys on string. I've always been fascinated by octopus, but this is a new sensation and I really like it. I'm now going to procrastinate and watch octopus being cute for the next hour. They are such wonderful animals.
