Well said. BUT he did not wanna play Barbie horse adventure tho hahaha but he did not do it for the views indeed, he did it for us. And I feel like that is one of his quality’s as well. He cares about us, and we care about him. Maybe more than he might think. I am so proud of what he had accomplished and his personal growth. I think I speak for the whole cult when I say that.

I've been following Kevin for a few years now. In recent times, haven't watched his videos with the same regularity I used to, but i still enjoy doing it from time to time, because it's entertaining to see him having fun. I remember I had a blast with his two point hospital videos, but when I tried that game myself, it got boring pretty quickly. It wasn't the game what I thought was fun while watching the videos. It was Kevin. It's always been Kevin.
Same!! I tried two point hospital after I watched him play it and it wasn’t the same. But after watching Kevin for years, and it’s most games he plays. He just has a charm that he can play anything and it can look like the funniest most fun game in the world.
It's actually the opposite for me. He did some videos on Death Road to Canada and got me into the game, and honestly I enjoy it even more now.

Failed and dead consoles like ouya are infact perfect candidates for emulation
Any android device can run these emulators so it's not really an effort of ouya devs of these emulators. Even android phone can be connected to remote with these Emus. Ouya is just a money milking scheme kickstarter console.
The Raegan/Gorbachev game is based on a real idea a random woman had when interviewed by a reporter. She said she thought Raegan and Gorbachev should be locked away on an island until they can learn to cooperate.

I personally love it when you can take an older device like that and repurpose it into a way that makes it really enjoyable. When you first started saying it was an Android box essentially in the video, that actually did leave me to question if it could run Retroarch or some other emulators. Of which, I'm very glad there is support for it. I'm happy that today there is so much out there to bring life to practically any device, even something like the Ouya. Anyway, this video was fun and uplifting. I remember seeing the one you made a few years ago on the Ouya and I probably will watch another one if you make it in the future. Actually, I think I even remember you doing a video on that one game, "Go Back to Bed" years ago as well. I can't remember if it was on the older channel or this one but yeah, that actually brought me back. No, I believe technology is what you make out of it. The fact that you can find something to extend it's life or breathe new life into it is always a positive. I know we couldn't say that back in the day as easily as we can today but it's the same reason I hold on to stuff like gaming consoles and some computers because who knows, that machine collecting dust might be your gateway to some fun memories and enjoyment in the future.

I know Kevin is a wholesome human being but that side of him doesn't really shine through as much on the YT channel (in comparison with the Twitch) - so I was genuinely surprised and delighted with the ending for this video

I know it comes down to the format of the content :D All I'm trying to say - yes it was a cherry on top of the vid. A lovely, to me a bit unexpected but wonderfully sweet cherry that made my heart melt a little bit

Kevin always manages to make the most boring or annoying games look fun, mostly because of his personality, I never even knew that some of these were a thing until I saw him play them.
That interview with her talking about the controller will never not make me laugh. The interviewer bringing up the dualshock controller made it even better. It was so awkward.
The Catlateral Damage was polished because it's not exclusive to the Ouya

Kevin, I’ve been here since the beginning (around a thousand or so subs) and you’ve always been a real motivator to do my own thing. Your content has always been fantastic, cuz it’s you, being you. You’re a fantastic person, keep it all up dude, you have probably one of the most respectful and non-toxic fanbases I’ve ever seen in a content creator.

If not for the misleading hype, blatin lies, and issues from pre-launch consoles and launch consoles the system could have been a lot better. Also the Ouya version of android was much more locked down, restrictive, and buggy. There was a lot of crap, but there were a lot of gems too that were flooded by the crap, if they had done a better job with the store front and organizing the good from the crap it would have been much better. Also if they didn't use some shitty networking chip on the ouya console itself that could only do 1 task at a time it could have been like 1000x better and all issues resolved but they cheaped out BIG time on this. Meaning only 1 controller would register correctly IF there was no wifi connection, connect 2 or more controllers fucked, conect to wifi without wired controller fucked. The priority settings they added later on does nothing the chip can still only do 1 thing at a time. The controllers I used on my nexus 7 at the time and it ended up being a better ouya than the ouya, despite not having any cooling, and I think less ram.

This was so surprisingly wholesome, and I wasn't expecting that but am glad I came across it.
I discovered Kevin's channel last year during my depression phase and it was honestly a part of how I went back to normal. Whenever I watched his videos I felt cheerful and happy mainly because of how genuine they were. He does whatever he wants which makes his videos random and extremely interesting. He cracks jokes from time to time with some being funny and the other not being funny, but he was never trying too hard. Soon enough I found myself laughing at all his videos, so I just want to say thank you for your help in bringing me through my depression.
I have been going through it with my depression and having kevin here to comfort me is so soothing. I was going to comment something similar to this, I know this is a very late response. I am so happy to have found this channel it is so chaotic and fun and wholesome. I hope you're doing well still, thank you for this comment. It brings me hope that I will get through this.

Kevin makes a really good point about the Ouya, and honestly, Android as a gaming platform in general. Ouya is an awful example, but you can have fun gaming on versions of android, and emulation is where it shines the most

I am loving the sheer variety of videos that Kevin makes lately, especially with the short little video essay-like opening on this one (I had never heard of the Ouya until now!) He also seems to be happy with what he's making and that makes me happy.

The 2nd game was made by a game creator going by the name of MDickie, he uses recycled assets to make wacky and violent games based around the combat style of WWE. From zombies, to prison. School to professional wrestling and even world domination. MDickie has it all

I still have a bunch of MDickie games on my tablet to this day, I was just playing super city for a bit in the car today. I'd say supercity is the best one for if you just wanna play around and not worry too much about messing stuff up, but extra lives is super good for when you wanna do a super serious game. I've played about all of the games and I'm actually now wondering if there's any new ones.

I've been binge-watching your videos for at least a week now, you are just so entertaining and wholesome! I love how enthusastic you are; it seems like you genuinely enjoy what you're doing, you don't seem to be hamming it up for the sake of the viewers, and you've got such a pleasant charisma on the screen... I say that even though you seem socially awkward, it's in the most wholesome way and it just gives such a pleasant feeling :) When I watch your vids I feel like I'm just chilling with a buddy, not watching some rando with a fake persona for a channel.
Also, the sleep walking game's art style is reminiscient of Salvadore Dali! I LOVE Dali's art, which is where the melting clocks depicted in the levels are from!
