    Your video saved my cricuit. Seriously, my hubby got it for me and I wasn't sure I could do it. I'm legally blind and thought I'd NEVER figure this vinyl thing out. I was ready to give up and then I watched this video. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

    I've been working with vinyl for years, but I was stuck in my old ways. These tips are terrific, especially the one about drawing a box around my designs. It's exactly what I've been looking for, and it's especially helpful when I have multiple designs on one sheet. Weeding is now much easier! Thank you for these great tips!

    Thank you so much for the Reverse Weeding, I have had so much trouble with my transfer tape and I was getting really frustrated but that makes so much sense to do it that way because all of the letter is stuck to the transfer tape instead of there potentially being a slight rise around each letter.
    Fantastic. Thanks again for that.
    Also Great Idea with the baby powder.
    I use lots of the Vinyl Metallic Rose Gold and sometimes it is hard to weed because of the reflection.

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you! It's so hard to see those lines on the metallics, but they are so beautiful when they are done. Baby powder definitely helps and reverse weeding has saved so many of my projects. Before I learned about it, I could never do small script vinyl. Now it's no problem. So glad you found these tips helpful too. Thanks for watching!

I also use the suction cup one a lot if I'm doing a project with larger pieces of weeded vinyl. They are both so useful. Otherwise I end up with vinyl stuck all over the place. Lol!

    I almost wanna give up worried I won’t figure nothing out :/ I’m so stressed and overwhelmed I’m taking a break today and the next couple days from it. I use sign master and a vevor cutter. Which I don’t understand how to use. Do you think these tips on what I use compared to you would still work?

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I had to Google a vevor cutter. Looks so cool. I use a Cricut, but when I started I was so overwhelmed. Nothing made sense, it wasn’t intuitive to me. I was even in tears at one point. But I eventually got it. I just started really small, do a simple project. Get those small wins and it will build. I know you can do it. But yes (not knowing sign master) I think most if not all of these tips can apply.

  • @mlistander
    @mlistander ปีที่แล้ว

    I can’t get either one to work for me 😢. What setting do you use for material?

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Which ones are you trying to do and what material are you working with?
      For reverse weeding with regular permanent vinyl, I always use washi sheet setting with more pressure. This helps cut the intricate pieces.

    Great video I’ve subbed thank you. I’m having problems with my projects not completely cutting through the vinyl any idea why and do you have a video on this . Thank you 😊

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks for subscribing! First, I would check your blade. Make sure there is no debris on it. I clean my blade often by pressing it into a waded up ball of aluminum foil. Next check and see what you have your material set to. There are so many different settings for vinyl (custom setting on the dial for Cricut Explore Air). Either choose the exact vinyl you are using, glitter, metallic, etc. or try one a bit harder to cut than yours so it uses more pressure. I usually change the pressure setting to more as well since I have an older blade. Hope this helps!

    • @vlg8482
      @vlg8482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BeesKneesSVG thank you so much for replying. I’m using Cricut vinyl so I had been using the setting it says. I will check the blade and try your tips thank you 😊

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never had much luck with Cricut vinyl. That might be the issue too. Ironic - I know. 😆 If it’s adhesive vinyl I like Oracle 651 and if it’s HTV I like Siser - both solid brands - easy to cut and easy to weed. Also if you are looking for something unique, Teckwrap has some really fun vinyls - color change, rainbow etc.

    • @vlg8482
      @vlg8482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the baby powder impact the adhesive?

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! It does not. Just make sure you gently wipe away the excess baby powder with a damp cloth (let it dry) before you apply the transfer tape to the top of the vinyl.

    I'm intrigued with the snap weeding; I've never seen this method before.
    Very often, after I've cut my vinyl, the tiny pieces of the design have moved out of their place a bit (for example, the dots on "i"s are not perfectly centered in the holes in the vinyl), so I don't think this would work then. Lately, I've been cutting my vinyl on the Washi Sheet setting, to try to combat elements moving, and it has helped somewhat, but not completely. Does anyone have any intel for me on why my tiny elements don't stay put when they're being cut? FYI - I'm using a Cricut Explore Air 2.

    • @BeesKneesSVG
      @BeesKneesSVG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dots on the i's are such a pain. You are absolutely correct - I've found the best setting is Washi Sheet for those small cuts. On my Explore Air 2 I have to change the pressure to more on the Washi sheet setting. If I don't, it doesn't cut all the way through sometimes. Then I reverse weed. Even if the dot on the i moves a little (which mine doesn't seem to on Washi Sheet more pressure), but even if they do, reverse weeding always saves the day. It takes me a little longer to reverse weed, but saves time in the end because I'm not struggling with finding my missing dots.

    • @sonyasonya9047
      @sonyasonya9047 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BeesKneesSVG Thank you for your input. I did actually successfully reverse weed a bunch of TINY text yesterday - you're right, it was arduous, but not nearly as bad as "regular" weeding. I need to remember reverse weeding more often. I might need to make a reverse weeding reminder sign for my craft zone 😋.

    • @sonyasonya9047
      @sonyasonya9047 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mlistander Whatever I can get my hands on cheaply 🤣. Usually I get "scrap" vinyl from professional signmakers - so stuff like
      Scotchcal 220 by 3M, Avery . . . but also "vinyl" from dollar stores, as well as house brand vinyl from Expressions Vinyl online. It doesn't seem to matter what I use, I continually have this problem.
