"The Lamp is Low" by Laurindo Almeida, on the other hand, was originally composed by Peter DeRose, Mitchell Parish, and Bert Shefter in the 1930s. Nujabes sampled "The Lamp is Low" in his track "Aruarian Dance." So, Nujabes sampled Laurindo Almeida's version of the song for his own composition.
I imagine myself driving in the day of my graduation with the sun setting in the background. All while smoking a cigar listening to this music with my friends. This song is about better days and how we should look forward to those days and times. At least to me that’s what it means.

I imagine myself sitting alone on a deserted ocean shore. It seems to me that this is music about loneliness, sadness and the dream of reuniting with a loved one after a long separation... It links some of my favorite artists and genres across more than a century, and really shows how music is a collaborative process. No one person can claim credit for this piece. It took four versions and at least 6 different writers before we could have what is definitively a Nujabes tune.

I can Imagine myself in graduation talking with my homies for the last time. We would be eating and sitting in the school cottage. We would be writing on rocks with a permanent marker and leaving them on the classrooms we studied on we'd be comparing our grades. and after those, we would play some games. I can imagine one of my friend raging because he's so trash. After several hours, it's almost home time. We would do things we can't do. Like Throw our textbooks in the gym and flip off the school for no absolute reason. If we ever get caught, I don't even know what will happen. We would be doing so many dumb stuff. We would be missing each other. We'll do anything before we go home and get separated. We'd be singing, telling our secrets, opinions, and everything.. And at the end of the day, we'll be separated no matter what.
