DOD are Darmin De'flern Lance Olsen and Paul DeSmidt the letters of our surnames make the band name.
This is track eight and the Album is called A Space Anthology. This is the heaviest rock type track of the album. Again Lance did a brilliant job of arranging and adding the guitars to this one with a great drum track by Paul. The lyrics were a stream of conscious as I had a story in my mind and the words seemed to write themselves. I liked leaning into metaphors on the lyrics for this one to describe the main character. Originally however the Bounty Hunter and villain were supposed to be male. It wasn't until i started creating the video that I felt that one of the characters should be a female. Due to the story being told by the protagonist and having a male voice I was forced to make the villain a female. In my head the female villain is called Red Mantis. I felt the lyrics hit harder with this dynamic to.
Lance suggested creating an concept album around a sci fi theme and we decided the album would be 10 tracks long.
As we created the tracks the following criteria were nailed down to give us guide lines:
    Sci FI themes
Combination of keyboards/synths, guitar and drums.
Any vocals were to be spoken word though this does almost morph to Rap at times.
The original inspiration for the vocals was Ginger Baker as suggested by Lance
The album was a collection of short stories but were to be from the same universe.
Tracks were to be from any genre but had to have that sci fi flavor most of the tracks have a heavy progressive sub genre attached. (for example Funk prog or jazz prog etc.)
Whilst it was not set out at the beginning A Space Anthology has a heavy use of AI art. There is just not that much usable stock video of space available and the AI could be used to craft a narrative to enhance the music. At the end we felt that the Video is just as much part of the album as the music.
In general Lance Olsen was the main producer as he did the mixing and mastering of all the tracks, whilst some production work wa done by Darmin De'flern.
Lance Olsen was the lead guitarist, and did acoustic and bass guitars on several of the tracks.
Lance Olsen also added the fx and extra percussion to the tracks.
Paul DeSmidt did all the drums on these tracks.
Darmin De'flern did the Vocals on the tracks along with some bass and rhythm guitar, keyboards.
Darmin De'flern wrote the lyrics with some of them spinning off from Titles suggested by Lance Olsen.
Darmin De'flern did all the video editing and minor video music mastering, videos where taken from www.pexels.com and the AI pictures were created on www.playgroundai.com

I liked that the villain was a female as it added unsuspecting drama into the story. One of my favorites of our ten songs....Love your voice and your talent for putting lyrics to our music.
