      Jodl my grandmother was a hoarder to. When I was a little girl I would try and clean up her living room and even as simple as a piece of paper would make her so angry at me if I tossed it away. I didn't understand why, and I thought she was nuts. When she went into the hospital my parents went and cleaned/painted etc. When she got home I never heard her cry so hard and be beyond devastated. :'(

    I'm the first to admit that I'm a hoarder and bring stuff home or to storage nearly everyday,but I also sell tens of thousands of dollars worth on eBay and Craigslist. Everything has a price. For me,it's a safer investment and much more profitable than the stock market,while it also fills my craving for wanting to shop. I nearly never lose money on a deal,unless I'm dealing with friends. Sometimes,I wish it would all burn...but,it's also my source of income.

    • @foofy3406
      @foofy3406 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      since ebay, it really can be a steady source of passive income

      Two years ago I started selling again on eBay after taking a hiatus for a few years. Then I found a good source for inventory. It was such a good source that I kept buying more frequently than I was selling.
      After watching many episodes of Hoarders, I am putting a lot of my items on Craigslist for free including things that I was emotionally attached to. I decided it has to go. No more attachment. I'm cutting the umbilical cord

    • @scott4172
      @scott4172 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To me you don’t seem to fit the description of a hoarder. You seem to be more disorganized.

    • @DeathAngelHRA
      @DeathAngelHRA 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scott4172 Recently, I've been giving/throwing away a lot of my houses & items as eBay has once again changed their payment system, which only lowers the security to sellers, causing me to close my eBay store.
      I like to think I'm not a hoarder, as I believe I wouldn't be letting these items go, but my disorganization has been prevalent in part due to a partner that would box and hide things away from me, prior to my listings and cataloging.
      I'm now letting most of it go at a financial loss, but the mental anguish of my possessions owning me are slowly fading, and that feeling is priceless. I strive to be a minimalist once more, but I know that will never happen, regardless of my line of work.

    • @DeathAngelHRA
      @DeathAngelHRA 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mildredpierce4506 How are you coping with the new eBay payment system? Many sellers are going weeks without funds being released, while having to front the shipping costs and loss of inventory. 20+ years later and I'm finally done with their nonsense.
