Don't have much love for Spinnaker watches, this model i like. It is very different and stands out. I do love the red accents, the date window too! I would not have been a bad thing if it was a 40 mm. case. Thanks for this review
Nice review! On a side note, checkout the Bremont P-51 limited edition. It’s $100k, but fairly interesting! I like the AV8 watch concepts, but I don’t like the 0 at the 12 o’clock position. Maybe if I wore it I’d get used to it! What is your take on that 0? Long Island Watch did a mini review of it yesterday but said they had a preproduction model and it wouldn’t be released until July. Is that just a US thing?
Gorgeous watch. However, it is missing one of my favorite parts of the Avi-8 watches, which are the etched, steel images of the planes on the case backs.
Very good review. I have the black cased version with the gray on gray dial and dark blue second hand and VPH 21600 trim. It also has the handsome gray leather strap. It's a very nice "night themed" watch. Unfortunately, the night theme does not seem to carry through to the lume on the numerals. The hands are well lumed, but the numerals are not. The watch you have here has much brighter numerals. Also with the dark theme I have found that the blue AR coating on the crystal makes it hard to read the dial in bright sunlight?! So ... You can't read this at night and you can't read it in bright sunlight. Tough going. It is fine under normal daylight. Finally, the reason that it has the stepped plates on the dial is to make it look like the the instrument panel of the actual P-51. I really like all the little historic P-51 touches on this watch. I don't like most of AVI-8's other themed watches. They are Way too "busy". I do like this Bottisham P-51 though, and I love their Spitfire.
Design is definitely something different and interesting. But they state themselves as a luxury pilot's watches, which they are not in any way, and sending samples to every youtuber seems like a cry for help. So,no.
The back case with a star could be more attractive if it replaced with Captain America's shield & distinctive colors as well. Since P51 also used by RAF, it should have Captain Britain version as well. The heroes will give the watch some marketing boost with Marvel's copyright.

Nothing wrong with it as long as they have the legit copyright. Ideas are a way to get rich & improvement. They are all products to be sold & cherish as history, hobby & interest. Cheers.
