The girl in the ending is a superfan/ fangirl of Melanie’s (not actually) she’s supposed to represent her fanbase and how polarizing they can be. One moment it’s I love you’s, give them their flowers, then it’s take them away, call her a bitch. In some fans minds it’s a game to them but for Melanie this is her actual career, and her life that we’re talking about. Even in Dollhouse, while she isn’t a fan girl, she is supposed to represent the audience looking in on Cry Baby and her story. The song itself is about realizing your true worth, and setting boundaries around your worth/ personal preferences. This might be one of her best music videos of all time I feel…

The mv is about feeling like you’re being used in a toxic relationship like you said, but it’s also about a section of her fan base who are demanding and obsessive which is also toxic in a way, it’s shown through the game options. The “I make them tumble down the hill they climbed…” scene shows how people shame her for not wanting to be perceived or idolised by her fans and the drama surrounding her not wanting people to take photos of her without consent.
what stood out to me was 'make them tall and skinny', during the end of the k-12 era i noticed a lot of people talking about melanie's height and weight, and 'give them long hair' when she got a lot of hate for cutting her hair short nearer to after school.

The most popular theory is that the video game aspect is about the toxic fans who try to control how she produces music and get made when she sets boundaries
Cool! But I also kinda see this as someone trying to win her like a game, and when it’s “game over” it’s when all the controlling and love bombing didn’t work and basically she was the one to hypnotize and control the whole situation (with the movements on the bridge part) but this is what I love about this very MV, you can interpret it as what you want it to be as long as you feel the truth to it, it’s just peak artistry!

The new character is “fan girl”, she represents the fans that want to control Melaine and are stuck in the other eras (don’t line the portals era) and this is why her room is decorated as k-12 style
The video takes place in what seems to be another area of the portals world after Melanie is seen falling from the Mushroom Palace at the end of her previous music video for “Void,” the second song off the portals album. Melanie, who is dressed as a creature fairy, is seen getting up and slowly walking towards a well, which she falls in and lands on a moving platform that moves throughout the video along with Melanie and her dancers.
As Melanie is dancing, a number of heart-shaped pop-ups appear on the screen throughout the video. A clicker is seen clicking on each heart stone, and Melanie and the dancers do movements to mimic the words. The first word that appears on the screen is “Enter,” and Melanie is seen pushing a stone wall, which moves back as she walks into the “portals.” The second one reads, “Say they’re demonic,” which appears just a few seconds after the first one, referencing another song from her album, Evil. In the song, Melanie describes prioritizing herself after a bad relationship, whereas her ex-boyfriend calls her evil because she’s no longer doing everything for him and begins to stand up for herself.
The third and fourth stones read “Fill their cups” and “Take their cup away.” A cup can be seen falling from the sky right into Melanie's hands and filling with a liquid resembling water. She then drinks from the cup and throws it into the background. Although these stones don’t have a clear meaning, fans believe that they signify how excited or “thirsty” they were for new music from her since her last album in 2021. And now that Melanie is putting out new music, it could be time for her to “take their cup away,” as she’s maybe given them more than enough.
The fifth stone says, “Give them long hair,” and is a direct link to when Melanie debuted a short haircut style before this era began, and many fans disagreed with the style and knowingly insulted Melanie's appearance. The next stone reads, “Make them tall and skinny,” another reference to the media’s comments about Melanie's body type throughout her career. These stones are also linked to some of society’s many disapproving comments towards women in general. If they don’t have a certain look or don’t fit the beauty standards, then society suggests that they change themselves to appear more attractive.
The sixth stone says, “Make them smile all the time,” which is another thing society expects women to do when they’re in public. There are a number of videos on the internet that insinuate she is rude because she was seen not smiling at some of the fans.
The next stone reads, “Give them their flowers,” and in the video, a number of flowers began to blossom around Martinez and the dancers. This could signify that Martinez wants people to recognize the hard work and creativity she puts into her music and visuals. To give someone their flowers essentially means to applaud someone for the work they’ve done and the things they’ve accomplished. Shortly after, the next stone reads, “Take them away,” and the flowers begin to burn down, connected to people recognizing Melanie's hard work but taking away the flowers once they criticize her again.
The last two stones read, “You made them very upset,” which relates to an Instagram story where Melanie called out some of her fans for being impatient and childish. This shows how frustrated Melanie was; she believed she was doing enough for her fans, but they weren’t very appreciative of her during that time. Fans’ reactions to the story could relate to the final stone shown in the video that read, “Call them a b*tch for being human,” meaning Melanie was allowed to be upset and express her feelings, but the media instead called her mean for her reaction.
At the very end, the “Game Over” stone appears, signifying how Melanie could feel controlled by the labels that the media put on her throughout her career.
Overall, each stone has a very important meaning that could be related to several things in Melanie’s life and in general society.

Melanie really captures the most beautiful parts of life and a human being. It just makes me love her so much because she's such an amazing artist
I think that the "fill their cup", "give them flowers" and then the "thake them away" is about lovebombing and then stopping to make the other person relate their happiness to you in order to manipulate them more easily

My favourite part was definitly the class fight reference, when she said “give them long hair” and her plaits grew, just like in class fight when she was about to fight Kelly

I think the mv explores the theme of pressure from the audience. The ending, in my opinion, showed this perfectly. (people treat the lives of other people, especially on the Internet, as a game. They allow themselves a lot without thinking about the consequences)

The first thing is that, fireflies are leading them (the light leading them).The mv is basically just the world. The mv represent that they’re not in control, they feels controlled, like a video game character which is the mv and the decision are just the person controlling them like forcing them to smile or making them tall and skinny. The ending which is a game over is that the relationship is over,you tried but failed.

the mv is also about how famous peoples life is game that people think they can control which ties in with the part where the fans are running up the hill for a pictuture and she makes them fall then people get mad at her for being human and wanting boundries. The ending of VOID and start of TUNNEL VISION are connected. In the Void she jumps off that castle looking thing and then she dropped here. I'm not sure but i think it's true.

Then, in Tunel vision we see them falling in this place, so this takes place after the end of void.
The "player" I suppose represent the toxic fans who love and hate her at the same time.

Cups in tarot symbolize emotions, emotional vulnerability, love, intuition, fertility, creativity since they're associated with water.
Tarot cards have both positive meaning and negative meaning.

In the end, they're just done with this game.

So "game over" it's over no more playing you can stop now there's nothing anymore.
And the player the toxic fan is upset.
So yeah Tunnel vision can be interpreted as a bad relationship when one partner only want to fill their selfish needs while discarding the boundaries of their partner
And their partner tells them they're "more then that" more then just what their tunnel vision wants.
But this clip gives a new double meaning.
I believe the girl at the end was the little girl from the Dollhouse MV all grown up. Also I believe when the water rises it a reference to the Crybaby MV showing that even after death Crybaby still crys.
the music video really conveyed a lot of messages , especially the metaphor or comparison to a video game so as to say that girls are being customized to the others likings just like video games characters . Truly a masterpiece !

I was there for the premiere and let me tell you this reminds me so much of show & tell from k-12 because the tunnel vision music video if you read the hearts one has said “call them a bitch for being human”
And it plays into that this is her showing about how the people in her fan base are controlling her and rude if they don’t get what they want

Like, trying to change your patterns feels extremely painful and guilt tripping, at least for me. This would also explain the Void MV, since she says she's the only one who judges her.

The end is about people controlling her like a video game, the hearts with words are options for the gamer to choose
The girl at the end represents the obsessive fans and haters watching and judging her every move like Melanie’s life is their video game, the video game ended up breaking and she got mad because things (Melanie’s life) didn’t go the way she wanted. The other it says in the MV things like “say they’re demonic” is how haters reacted to the portals aesthetic and started hating on in instantly, “make it tall and skinny” is how some obsessive fans (haters) body shamed Melanie, “make it smile all the time” represents how some fans think she needs to react to all that hate, “give them long hair” represents all the hate she got bc of her pixie cut and how “fans” wanted the old Melanie back and “call them a b!tch for being human” is how people can’t see that she is human too, she also has feelings and works hard in her career

This song was originally one of my "back burner" ones to listen to, but after this video came out, I have a whole new appreciation for it as a song and as a part of the concept of this album.
I feel like the video deals more directly with the fans because most of the references like long hair and making her tall are directly to when the fans criticized her for being small and for the time she cut her hair short. She even shows us how stressful it is to be famous and have to find a point for fans to accept her without having to humiliate her and she did the same with the show and tell video giving us a perspective of the situation she finds herself in. like at the end a fans get mad for it just because she couldn't get what she wants from here.
The girl at the end of the video is a representation of her toxic fans controlling her life, represented by the main part of the MV being in a video game.
Explaining the choices in the game:
Say they're demonic = people calling Melanie demonic, even more now because of her new look, saying shes a demon (she's a fairy, just not those pretty cute mainstream fairies)
Make them tall and skinny = people wanting her to be skinny/being upset at her new body since she got curvier than how she was before during crybaby and k-12
Chase them for a photo = harassing celebrities for photos
Call them a _____ for being human = self explanatory
(might be wrong about some parts but this is what i understood from the video)

The whole point is that they are inflicting things onto her and taking them away from her when she doesn’t bend to their will. By the end, they lose her (Game Over).

I love how he accepts her stule and vibes to her song because ive met people and when i show them her they will turn them down just by looking at her so i really like how he gave no hate but infact gave love instead and gave her video a chance. Melanie is a wonderful and creative person and people should understand that just because someone may nit be or dress the same as you does nit mean they deserve hat. When it says ‘make them tall and skinny.’ It’s because they put on a healthy amount of weight since her last album, which was 4 YEARS AGO and people are saying she ‘fat’ but she’s a healthy weight :/ and the ‘call them a butch for being a human’ is because everyone was being rude to her for actually speaking up about her mental health :((

I'll explain when it did say "their demonic" that was from the fans when this new era was made and "make them tall and skinny" that was about the fans saying that Melanie looks fat and "make them smile all the time was about" fans saying she doesn't smile that often now "give her long hair" is about that she got a pixie haircut a while ago and people were hating on her on that and "chase them for a photo" is about fans just randomly doing a picture without asking (this happened a while back) then "you made them upset" is about when 🍇 accusations were put up (it wasn't real) "call them a 🐩 for being human" was when she was standing up to her self
And in the cast list it is said that the person in the end is called Fangirl which is a just her fans
