Hey, you know what, I could enjoy all three of these. - Vanilla outperforms in some shots, like 0:59, which is impressive! And of course, it's still very playable today and will be for MANY years, the graphics are good. - NaturalV is modest and whitewashed, it comes down to preference really. I would simply enjoy playing the game with its different visuals, the angle at 0:24 particularly looks nice. - Redux is extreme. I would love to do a playthrough using this. And clearly, so much work went into the look. There's a big stigma around playing games with high saturation but I have no problem with it, if the game looks fresh then it looks fresh. I also really enjoy the contrast changes too, like at 1:50 But yeah, I understand people's complaints, and it's never cool to like the saturation mods so it's no surprise the comments section is full of laughing and complaining about it hahah. I get it in my own comment sections. I am open to many different types of mods because I can replay games easily, so it's no problem using one mod graphics mod one time, another the next. And it's not like I don't see any flaws or my preference doesn't get in the way, like, NaturalV's contrast isn't very good in my opinion, as I said the whitewashed look comes down to preference - I would easily still use it though. I think most people will just jump on the bandwagon and post popular like-whoring comments, so I thought it'd be interesting to post my own actual opinion.

You can choose different profiles of ENB, some of them are, other ones look dark, others look boring, if you like vanilla gta5 colors, install the "original" profile.
Well given color dulls and fades in the sun, it's kinda natural. That's why newly paved asphalt streets fade from a black to a more grey and lighter of time. It all depends on the time exposed. Streets fade rather fast due to being constantly exposed almost 24/7.

Honestly, Vanilla is still the most realistic looking by far. Redux's reshade is cool for some screenshots and for people who like cartoony looking eye popping graphics, but that's about it. Redux is the perfect case of complete oversaturation, overcontrasting, and oversharpening. Reminds me of when a kid first gets into photography, and they overprocess the living shit out of their pictures to try and make them look more impressive. It ends up looking like a cartoon. That's what Redux does. Those colors on natural surfaces are so overbearingly saturated it makes the sidewalks and bricks and trees look like a McDonalds playplace. GTAV vanilla is still stunning and incredibly realistic on ultra settings.

Honestly, the saturation from the colors from redux are way more vivid, and I feel like that's very important for a game like GTA V. In my opinion, despite being oversaturated it's a healthy step up from the grayish horizons from GTA V, I feel like that way, the game can become even more vivid.

Here's the thing modders rarely understand. It's the cohesion of all the graphical elements. If you think that overdone bloom, DOF and screwed contrast are improvements to the picture, you need your fucking head checked by a doctor. P.S. Vanilla is still the king. You can't replace artistry just by just adding shit up.

NaturalVision sucks here, idk why. Looks like it lacks ambient occulsion? and possibly a bit grayscaled? Redux looks way too saturated and over the top in some parts Vanilla looks fine. Honestly, if it was about more in the middle between vanilla and redux with some color adjustments from natural it would look pretty good.

I liked vanilla and natural vision more as the have balanced saturation, glare, blur, and every thing but I don't know why I always get attracted towards redux extra saturated mods. I kind of enjoy it more.

Are there different presets or sliders to be used for making something higher and lower chroma? Too high of saturation is always ugly to me. Makes it look unnatural and too cartoony. Needs balance with the lighting and contrast values, they all play off of each other to create an image.
PC is wayy more affordable. You can build a pc with at least 2-3x the graphical power of a console for almost half the price... and then upgrading the GPU every few years (the equivalent of buying a new console generation every few years) for less than half the price. Not to mention the wayy expanded mod choices, and numerous other benefits. The "consoles were built for games" argument is half true. They're built so that they can be as cheap as possible while still being able to play games but not being able to do anything else... but those savings go straight to their own wallets, not to you,. Do your research and you'll realize the only benefit to consoles are the console exclusives... This is coming from someone with a PS4 and a PC, because i'm weak and love me some Uncharted and Bloodborne ;)
I rather RTGI reshade post-process shader as it's far more performant while adding screen-space global illumination and is only a couple MBs in size. All those other mods are just some insane extra contrast and saturation packed in couple of gigabytes.

NaturalVision sucks here, idk why. Looks like it lacks ambient occulsion? and possibly a bit grayscaled?

Vanilla looks fine.
Honestly, if it was about more in the middle between vanilla and redux with some color adjustments from natural it would look pretty good.

For easier gameplay:

For better overall experience (gameplay + visual)
1 - Vanilla
2 and 3 - depends on which you give more value

I liked vanilla and natural vision more as the have balanced saturation, glare, blur, and every thing but I don't know why I always get attracted towards redux extra saturated mods. I kind of enjoy it more.

I was thinking it looks OTT but I might give it a try, I've been needing a reason to go through storymode again, so i might do a redux story playthrough and see what its like as a whole. Im worried how much of an FPS hit ill take though, im getting 70-80fps maxed on my GTX 1070, heres to hoping it doesn't take it below 60 in the ultra grass areas :/

Is there a way to get Redux but to lower the saturation?
There are different presets when you install it you would aplt it with reshade and there are darker lighter presets
@@benjaminsalt8271 Thanks, that does help, but I'm less concerned with high/low contrast and more with the color saturation. Are there different presets or sliders to be used for making something higher and lower chroma? Too high of saturation is always ugly to me. Makes it look unnatural and too cartoony. Needs balance with the lighting and contrast values, they all play off of each other to create an image.
Vanilla- good for sunny weather
Redux- good for cloudy weather
Natural Vision V-good for low end pc's

PC is wayy more affordable. You can build a pc with at least 2-3x the graphical power of a console for almost half the price... and then upgrading the GPU every few years (the equivalent of buying a new console generation every few years) for less than half the price. Not to mention the wayy expanded mod choices, and numerous other benefits. The "consoles were built for games" argument is half true. They're built so that they can be as cheap as possible while still being able to play games but not being able to do anything else... but those savings go straight to their own wallets, not to you,. Do your research and you'll realize the only benefit to consoles are the console exclusives... This is coming from someone with a PS4 and a PC, because i'm weak and love me some Uncharted and Bloodborne ;)

I rather RTGI reshade post-process shader as it's far more performant while adding screen-space global illumination and is only a couple MBs in size.
All those other mods are just some insane extra contrast and saturation packed in couple of gigabytes.
