As a regular viewer of score follower videos myself, I wanted to do my best to improve on the usual presentation while maintaining a manageable workflow. My number one problem in some videos is trying to follow page turns, which sometimes are not perfectly in sync with the music. And even if they are, I find the instant switch to a different part of the screen very jarring. As a solution to this, I display two pages of the study score edition side by side. The page turns are not simultaneous by design: They allow you to smoothly transition to the next page on your own pace. The left page "turns" in time with the music at the last bar of the right page. The right page "turns" in time at the second bar of the left page. This way, you always have the two most relevant pages visible. It allows you to see, at a glance, the music that came before and after the transition. The pages turn at the right time to prepare for a smooth transition, but you still see upcoming bars for a longer time than previous bars. To guide the eyes of people who might not be as familiar with reading scores, each first bar of a new system is highlighted.
