@@werdreowq maybe that was a bad example, but if you watch the drama you'll see that he was a really good man, taking in and raising by himself the son of the woman who abandoned him (both the child and the man) and taking in the son of the neighbor because he was a workaholic and didn't pay much attention to him because of his abusive wife. He didn't have much means to do that bc he was on his own and had a modest family restaurant, but he still chose the right thing over his economic issues
😅why it's weird, its his responsibility and his children.. nothing weird😅 well my dad wake up early in morning to make breakfast and while mom prepared us for school..not a big deal it's normal
@@lyazilya8363 the point is they are adopted. He raises several children even though only one is his own and he genuinely and unreservedly loves them all.
I wished that the childhood part of this drama was longer because the child actors were all brilliant, the scenes were heart wrenching but also heartwarming
Then they ruined it with incest crap (even though the kids weren't blood-related). It just feel poorly written.

@@manga626 She was literally calling them brothers in the entire show so it was really weird for them to fall for her. Specially the second lead, they were really like siblings. I hope in the korean version they do some changes.

I had to stop watching the drama in the middle for a couple of months, at the part when he appeared, and started making troubles for daddy li. It was just too much, my heart couldn't take it, because i knew he ziqiu would leave. I needed time to prepare my heart

There is a certain sincerity for the children, that I am not sure if it is normal- but he is a great father- neh, person! What a lovely soul- all of them. I love that the adults are written with such maturity- although granny was granny there was a slight social check- as best can be done. This has captured my heart! He's a good boy valuing affections- AHH THAT LINE! OH MY HEART! Same- same- ah!
I never see this type of father role in any world drama...I just watch this drama because of this father role it's inspire me lot...

He mother is like him, extremely responsible that she almost lose her life for other's mistake. Atleast god blessed her for giving such a good husband and three kids.

this part really hit home for me. I was an adopted from China. When i didn't listen, the adults would tell me that the Americans were watching from the stars and they will only pick good kids..... feel like i had to tip toe around my parents and do what they asked me to do in order to be noticed. I'm 28 years old and yet, i still tip toe around people and try to please everyone

The part that made me the mpst mad about this series is his biological father coming and taking him away in like his last year of high school. His father kept threatening the boy to come with him or else. This cause the boy to be gone from his family for 9 years.
And that because his new wife can have child. That the exact moment the wife is pregnant, he left the boy again.

Love this drama, and this segment is one of the most lovable segments of this drama. Love how the father character is being written. Very kind father, heart and soul, and care for all his children even though only one out of the three is his biological child. And the father's relationship and bond with Ziqiu is the most heartwarming.
