It was lovely to see Wacker Collins again, he was always at his hall door on sunny days. I can remember Jim the veg man I helped him on his rounds.. And Spud Murphy delivering the milk around Kimmage and Walkinstown we had great fun on the horse float and then onto the milk float. We missed the horse. I (Freddy Byrne) was with Spud Murphy and Eddie O Connor. My next job was with Dulers Keane he lived beside the school on Loretto Ave and Spud Murphy on the otherside. Those were the days of work hard. I lived in 34 Loretto Ave..
oh my! but how nice it is to see how the city meets the country and also how the country meets the city with a nice cup of cheap tea and a bit oof milk, with a biscuit tin of crumbs.
I say leave the castles along sound them with fine green fields, Save more and rebuild those damaged castles, I was going to buy a castle several years ago it was set alongside a lovely flowing river, out in the country, for sale by Helen Cassidy Auctioneer, I asked a member of my family to goi a visit it and let me know what he thought, but I never found the time to go a have a look at it myself, by the time I went to make an offer someone else had bought it,
