Hi Kulas I'm from San Jose Tacloban (near Airport). Thank you for helping my fellow Taclobanons... I still cry every time I see video's of what happened. I lost a lot of friends at that time. We have nothing to eat & a lot of dead sorround's us. One thing that hurt me most was ignored by the national gov't. because the truth is... they never gave us food w/n the 1st to 5th day of my stay there in Tacloban. They just load the relief goods in the airport (near in our area) to trucks & bought it to near towns because according to them rural areas need it more than us which I beg to disagree. We need food more than them because our food was washed out by storm surge. What we did was walk to near towns that we're not flooded w/water to ask some food & they gave us relief rice, sardines & noodles w/c the Nat'l. gov't. gave them. They have a lot of food their since they we're not flooded w/ water. In fact they have a lot of rice, camote & banana since they can get it from their sorroundings. That was my most hurtful experience than the actual typhoon. The irony is that we need to bring back the relief goods to our area in San Jose w/c is near at airport by foot for our family & neighbors we're infact it landed there. The gov't. scheduled to gave us food on the 7th day but for us it was useless already because most of our neighbor's family arrived on the 4th & 5th day from Cebu bought food for them & shared it to us. My sister & friends arrived from Manila on the 6th day w/ a bunch of relief goods like food, water, medicine, clothes, flashlights, mat & comforter. I gave some of my relief to our neighbors & my friends helped me search my other friends whom I do not know was still alive & gave them food. I am not complaining since it's already past. I am just sharing the truth of our experience. We survived w/our own effort & bayanihan of our neighborhood w/ the help of group of individuals like you. That's why I am soooo thankful to your group, my friends group, & other group of individuals because your help & presence means a lot to us Taclobanons. Thank you so much.
