Loch lomond live is epic. Fell in love with runrig back in late seventies. Was fortunate enough to be at there first gig south of the border in Nottingham. They were great live . Retired over 10 years ago. ❤
Runrig is a Scottish Celtic rock band formed in 1973 on the Isle of Skye. The band's line-up includes brothers Rory MacDonald (bass, vocals) and Calum MacDonald (percussion). Runrig is also a system of land tenure practiced in Scotland, particularly in the Highlands and Islands, used on open fields for arable farming
Nice Reaction LuLu! I miss seeing the "Belt Buckles" you have been sporting on other reactions! You have quite a collection. I have a Civil War Belt Buckle worth several thousand dollars found while metal detecting! Also, you have such unique and beautiful hair to go along with that contagious smile! Brightens up one's dismal day! Much love from West Virginia! ❤
If you go down this rabbit hole I guarantee your Scots Gaelic will improve no end! Always best in a live setting for my money, look for them charging through Alba, Skye, Loch Lomond, Siol Goraidh and the passionate audience participation in Hearts of Olden Glory. There’s a ton to go at and don’t be put off that about 50% of their stuff is either entirely or partially sung in Gaelic. There’s still no denying the passion in, say, something like An Ubhal As Arde (I may not have got the spellings totally right - I’m rusty being English!). Personally, I love Headlights from The Big Wheel Album. Runrig very sensibly retired while still at the height of their powers. Good for them!
Recorded June 22 1991 50,000 fans on the banks of loch Lomond Michel jackson played Scotland that. Same month and could only manage 35,000 tickets sold

They sold 50,000 tickets for there Loch lomond, and until Michael Jacksons Wembley gig,was the fastest selling. Every river is a beautiful ballad. 😄
