Don't trash it, sign it, ebay auction it for charity, get the tax write off and someone gets a good story.

DAA Lynx belt with a ratchet system is a serious game changer. The ratchet system being the most amazing. being able to loosen the belt when you are not shooting than quickly crank it down before you shoot is so good. I have no ass so my belts always slip down if they are not super tight. a hour or two into a match things would start to hurt from being so tight. Now with the ratchet I keep it loose when walking around than crank it way down in my make ready.

I have the same problem, I also have no ass to speak of. My pants always slip down a bit unless I make the belt uncomfortably tight

I'm still running a leather belt and single Comp-Tac mag pouches. But that's because I shoot IDPA and don't want two different setups. But my leather belt, holster, and mag pouches live on my dry fire shorts. Dump the pants, put on the dry fire shorts, and I'm ready to practice my dry fire. It really takes away your excuses when all you have to do is put on the shorts to get ready.

Right and in idpa double belts are outlawed. Thanks for the dry fire shorts idea. I’ve just been putting my belt over my work out pants before I hit the gym.

I use the Trex Arms Orion belt and its amazing. No velcro, no need for an inner belt that wears out, it buckles over whatever I'm wearing and doesn't shift around. I just throw it on and I'm good to go

Anything that makes life easier such as double belts is that important. As an aside, I really love the ghost pistol mag pouches you recommended years back. Very happy with them on my Production class setup. Glad also because of your advlce on tha mag pouch, it was a buy once, cry once proposition. Very important for a poor guy like me. Thanks as always.

For 2Gun I prefer the ATS and USPSA I prefer the more rigid setup . When wearing for 10+ hours I do prefer the ATS because it's not super rigid . I also wear suspender setup for 2Gun since I have more weight on the belt and I have no ass lol

I have a lynx belt with a rachet and holy hell it is Soooo much easier. being able to tighten or lossen with the click of a button makes it so much easier. Also Double alpha came out with a new Inner belt that has like.. a Stretchy/soft Front piece which makes the fitment with the rachet even easier. it prevents the belt from flexing up into you which can be uncomfortable and painful. They are honestly so great together.

I wear the inner 90% of the time, with the exception of formal/semi-formal events. Love it!. I just got the DAA ratchet belt. It's not going to change my world but it works well enough.

LE here. You want a rigid inner belt. Your lower back will deteriorate over time. Systems like the safelife have a rigid inner belt will save you in the long run. I think blue alpha also makes a similar system.

I bought a really heavy duty ratchet from m2 inc and added it to my old belt and I absolutely love it. throw the belt on cinch it down and nothing moves at all. done for the day pop the lever belt pulls right off and done. I won't wear a belt without one now if I am going to be putting a full competition load out on it.

DAA Lynx is a phenomenal system, incredibly ridged and very portable. I use mine conjunction with a ratchet system a full suite of DAA pouches. Going from a tactical style blue alpha gear battle belt to that thing was eye opening.

@@Fryheart Ease of access largely. Drawing from a competition mag pouch or holster is just easier, Donning the belt is also typically faster. In general comp gear is cheaper. I’ve taken to running my mag pouches canted, bullets facing outwards, that isn’t an orientation a more tactical belt will support. Also going from a Trex Ragnarok to a DAA MAX was a massive quality of life change, especially considering that the max will lock onto basically any gun you put into it which is just flat out convenient.

A good belt can get you good service too. After a match once I grubbed up at some fast food drive-thru, probably Arby's, my full-Ben production rig on the passenger seat. As I'm about leave, Drive Thru Bro says, 'Have a nice day, officer.'

I mainly shoot defense oriented handgun competitions in Eastern Europe and am very happy with an Austrian Sickinger double belt system. It's not tACticAl, but who cares, it's much more convenient than IDPA-legal belts. With regular non-competition OWB holsters I still make max distance from the body.

Started with a Scorpion, jumped to a Double Alpha. Rigid yes, comfortable he’ll no. Running a Volund now with 2 reloads and that’s plenty. Still rigid but allows for more movement. Someone needs to come out with athletic shorts that have belt loops. 100 degrees with 99% humidity and MFers are running around in jeans and cargo pants. Balls are asking for air.

If you shoot USPSA and not IPSC, you could run a magazine pouch angled close to horizontal at 12 o'clock and use that as your index point. IPSC requires mag pouches to be at 9/3 o'clock or farther back.
