Hey Rusty, I'd love a rig run down of what you use when recording these videos as your tone is always so great! I wish I'd found these videos 20 years ago!
Thanks bud! I will definitely do a rig run down video soon. I get a lot of questions. It’s amazing the resources we have on TH-cam to learn anything! I appreciate the comment and have a great weekend.👍
Thankyou Sir, for this Informative Video! My band was called Rusty and The Rebels 😊 It all fell apart but Rusty(me) is still playing guitar and putting together a new band :) I played a solo gig yesterday, mostly on backing tracks but this approach is very helpful to get rid of the backing track and doing everything on your own! Thanks again! Cheers 🤘🏻
Hey Rusty! I appreciate the comment. I’m glad you got a new band together! Thanks so much for checking out the video. It sounds like you got some ideas from it! Have a great week bro.😎

Your demo sounds a little Pink Floyd/Jimi-ish. Love it. As you've seen from my previous comments, my journey on the guitar matches what you are teaching in your YT lessons. So, so good. And it all makes sense now. I just need to get my chops up and work on loops and backing tracks to burn it into my mind and fingers. You are a goldmine, Rusty. How you keep coming up with great/insightful lessons every day or two is beyond me. Just know you are appreciated so very much. Cheers bud!
Hey Doug, you are certainly on the right track! Working on the right things. I really do have fun playing and teaching! Thanks so much for all your support and have a great weekend.👍

Oh yes, all on this channel! I do have a worship guitar channel. Also, I break down techniques that I use as a church musician. Thanks a lot, my brother.👍
Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, I’m using the Revv G 20 amp set clean and driving it with the Revv tilt overdrive pedal. And some reverb from the Strymon BigSky. It’s a great little amp! Happy Sunday.🙏
Just wondering where you been all my life? I’m blessed to find you. And thankful for sharing your gift to us. I’m one of your biggest fans now. You have a really nice teaching style and I’m learning each time I watch your videos and play with my guitar.
@@rustysguitar1 something clicked, just happened. Like the stars aligned. I can see things. Wonderful how you explain things and break down these connections. I’ve played Sultans for a while but never really bothered understanding how the chords and little licks are part of a chord process. Don’t have the right terminology but you proly understand what I’m trying to say. I’m just super stoked. Mid 50s now and things are only beginning to come together guitar wise. Just got a new telecaster. Soon receiving strat, a gift from a brother who passed away last year. Daughters say their dad wanted me to have it. It’s one of those things, Rusty. Music is just happening to me right now. Sang the national anthem in a baseball stadium, didn’t know what I was doing w the guitar but somehow pulled off a decent performance and didn’t mess it up. That apparently I’m doing it again soon. I appreciate you for acknowledging my comment. I love what you’re doing and I truly admire your musical gift and your dedication to teach and share these things.
Wow! Thanks so much Joseph thank you for supporting my channel this way. Means a lot to me and I greatly appreciate it. If you have any questions, let me know brother👍
No kidding i was born in park ridge illinois live in washington now. My grandpa gave me my first guitar when i was 10 on the Fox river 40 yrs ago... lol
Rusty, I just love the format and the way you go about things. I had a guitar mentor/best friend who passed away about 10 years ago. He grew up in Beaumont Texas with the Winter brothers and you remind me so much of him. He taught me many things, but one thing really stuck out. He said, I've never seen a really good rhythm player who wasn't a good lead player unless they just didn't care to play lead, but I've seen many really good lead players who couldn't play rhythm to save their lives. He finished by saying, become a really good rhythm player and the rest will take care of itself. You're more proof. Thanks for your offerings!
Thanks for a great lesson , at 80 years old I'll never master it but I will develop a version. Enjoyed the lesson so much. I do encourage all the students who benefit from Rusty's lessons to donate to his channel .
I’m glad you like the lessons, Joseph! I hope you can take some ideas from the lessons and make them your own. I appreciate the encouragement for others to support me also. Have a great weekend buddy 🤛

I appreciate you very much.
Your teaching technique is clear and affective.
Also, your kind spirit radiates throughout your communication which no doubt is a direct reflection of the time you invest reading the Bible , which you wisely display in the background of your setting.
Blessings to you and thank you for your selfless efforts to teach those of us looking to improve. P&L

Hi Rusty you areca great teacher. Are you playing through an amp? Sounds great.

I’ve been waiting for you to stop by! I’m glad you like the channel! Talk to you soon Pops👍
@@PopsKustojo I appreciate the comment Pops! See you soon 🤛

What state do you live in if you dont mind me asking?
@@David-pj6pz Just outside Chicago
That is great advice! If you are a good rhythm player, the rest will take care of itself👍 thanks for checking out the video✌️
Hey Rusty thank you so much for this Great Input- i am ready for the next Level - you are so good and Great in the way how you explain it - thx 🙏
Thanks for watching! Happy Sunday 🙏
