If you're looking to apply for university next year, we have designed a short course that goes through everything step-by-step. It covers how to order your preference list, how applications are assessed and how to get multiple offers! Check it out: yourcompass-university.thinkific.com/courses/application-optimisation
We can't comment on how he got in as we don't know his exact application process BUT it's important to note that ATAR or Selection Rank entry requirements are usually only an indicative requirement, which means it's simply a guide & can go up or down slightly depending on the applicants that year. Most universities consider the Selection Rank rather than the ATAR. Selection Rank = ATAR + Adjustment Factors. It is true that some unis have "guaranteed entry" (meaning if you get that ATAR or Selection Rank, you're guaranteed a spot), but they also operate on an indicative basis too. Like we said, we're not sure of Francis' exact application process, but he MAY have received some sort of adjustment factors to boost his Selection Rank OR the entry requirement lowered slightly that year :)
@@MajellaandConnor Can I ask what is the entry process to get into Law? I'm interested in the field but it's vague to me here in Australia the way you would get into the course. I read about the LSAT (similar to UCAT), is that a thing? I'm really confused.
